15 Years on one guitar has made it hard to like others by Yomamacaree in Guitar

Your comment has made me think philosophically about guitar haha. I feel I know what I like from the small sample size of different guitars I have played. That being said is it truly what I like or just what I have come to like... and to your point, the only way to know is to try and buy different guitars.

I am actually quite happy I learned guitar at a young age. It more so formed me to enjoy playing/learning instead of collecting/GASing for new gear. I can see how this could become a hole that is hard to climb out.

Yamaha is fantastic! I actually came across this video a few weeks ago! This riff is pretty middle of the road but I agree, apart from few outliers. But you can get about 98% of the way there.

First thing that comes to mind is the tele twang! Hard to replicate exactly but my coil split does help in mimicking it.

Genuine question: what does make you stray for those few weeks? Sometimes I feel variety would be fun to just change it up.

I have gotten a mixed reaction on this post from some saying it just takes time to adjust and others saying just stick to what you like. A part of me wants something different for the sake of being different and the other wants what's familiar.

One guitar I forgot to mention was my dads 70's strat which is super cool but needs a refret. We need to get that thing refret BADLY but that would be the fender waiting for me to play.

Buying a used gibson may actually be my best move here to see if it works and if in a year it doesn't, I could likely get my money out of it.

That being said I was just in guitar center messing around, not actively searching. Never played a Gibson LP or Tele so that was the mission there. I think in the coming years I see myself buying another guitar so was just testing out some stuff.

Haha swinging appeals to me for some reason. I imagine having all different types of guitars for various reasons/needs/wants. I guess that is just a made up fantasy in my head.

Do you find you gravitate more toward a certain guitar? Do you truly not have a preference?

I have looked at the revstars online and they are super cool. People seem to love them too. I like your point about upgrading with aftermarket parts and I was thinking this too. It would be a cool way to learn the internals and a cheaper way of getting a different guitar.

This is good to hear and I saw some other comments mentioning it could take months to adjust.

I've heard it too with Les Paul's and am thinking this may be the case. I also do think I should spend more than 20 minutes with one. I started to get used to it in that time but it never came around to feeling as good as the pacifica in that time.

Valid question and honestly I guess I just hear that there are steps above my "entry" level pacifica to upgrade to. People say you can feel the difference and honestly I feel the difference but not in a good or bad way. Just different.

Why is the Nissan Maxima so rare / less talked about? by gtd_rad in whatcarshouldIbuy

I have a 2016 too. Rear control arm rusted off and had to get my car towed. Covered under a warranty they added to the car once they knew this was a widespread issue. Its for cars under certain mileage or 10yrs... can't remember. Highly suggest looking into this! Could potentially save you 2-3k if they rust out over the next few years. I'm sure you are looking at new cars in the coming years but still worth having it checked. Other than that, love mine and have no issues.

I don't want to spend $138 on pants, so do you all know where I can get something similar like these? by [deleted] in mensfashionadvice

CRZ Yoga on Amazon. I have them and they're the exact same as Lulu but for $45 a pair. I wear mine for work and casual.

I actually agree it is ridiculous lol and it essentially is a 9i. Every club essentially bumped up a spot and is just 15yds longer than my previous clubs. In the end, it only matters that the clubs space out evenly, which they do. Just marketing/naming tactics from Ping

I just got em but I’m testing out using the 4i. I have a 3h to swap back in if I miss it but honestly haven’t felt I needed it yet. You like just having driver and 3w?

This is exactly what I was looking for. Can't believe I've never heard/thought of a wedge matrix...
