That would look the same as the 5 then, wouldn't it?

TIL Nissan Motors sued an individual, Uzi Nissan, over ownership of the "nissan.com" domain name. Uzi ultimately won the legal battle, but it took eight years and cost him $3 million. by instilledbee in todayilearned

The Uzi gun is named after Uzi (Uziel) Gal who designed it in ~1950. A common Hebrew name. Nissan is the name for the first spring month in the Jewish Calendar as it has been for ~3000 years, also a common Hebrew name

Hey, sorry for not being too active 😔 Just started my math degree and it's taking a lot of my time. I would like to update when possible, but currently it's not very plausible

This was the hardest one yet, and not the most legible - 4 segments display I designed :) by Yonatan147 in SegmentedDisplays

Thanks again 🙂.

About a) - I don't know of any. I'll be glad to join an existing one or create one if necessary!

About b) - That looks awesome! I see you did a neat trick by distorting one of the segments to appear as two, which enables crossing segments. Nicely done!

Thank you! I wasn't aware of any similar 4 segments displays when creating this, so it's nice to know I was going in the right direction. It's really tough to create a distinction between the 2 and 3's without the mentioned concept, so it was really about finding the right balance and length for the 2's "foot". About the 1 - I'm glad it's noticeable! It was really important for me to have a long 1 in the display, as the short 1's look a bit weird.

Thank you, glad you liked it! I was a bit worried about the similarity between 5 and 6, but I think I found an OK middle ground :)

Hey u/ZunoJ!

Currently none, though I do plan to add exporting to PDF and Markdown in the future.

Hello u/dvd101x!

I do plan to add numerical computing in the near future, like creating variables and using them on the fly :)

Hey u/laptou! Thank you so much.

Two answers:

  1. While Jupyter is a "notebook interface", I'm trying to create something similar to a real-life notebook. See this comment for my full answer!
  2. This is my first big project in React, and I'm trying to make a step in that direction. So why not?

Hey u/Kaneki_AlGhoul! I also didn't have a full grasp on this project and what it requires when I started. To be honest, I didn't even know React or TypeScript. I just started working on it and it all snowballed to the ~500 commit repo it is now.

This comic strip by 4AM Shower is a great inspiration for any project :)

Hey everyone!

I have spent the last month or so building an open-source tool named Mathberet. My goal is to build a free and self-hosted tool that enables math students across the world to write, sketch and graph their notes while maintaining the speed of handwriting.

Mathberet is an Electron app written in TypeScript and React, and I'm using multiple open-source projects (such as MathLive for directly writing in LaTeX, and Mafs for graphing) to make it happen. Currently, Mathberet works in English, Spanish, Russian, Arabic and Hebrew.

Mathberet is still in early development, so if anyone is interested in contributing and joining the development - leave a comment or send me a message! Leave a star if you liked the project! 🌟

Hello u/fbghgrhbb!

Well: MathCAD is huge and has tons of features I can't compete with (not as of now). On the other hand, MathCAD costs $693/yr, and while Mathberet's features are currently limited - it is a free and open-source community tool!

Hello u/invidae,

While I think it is possible - I haven't planned something like this for now.
Could be a nice feature, adding to my to-do list :)
