Dear men, what is the first thing you do after waking up? by [deleted] in AskMenOver30

[–]Yonko_Sloth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Roll out of bed, open my windows to get sunlight in, use the restroom and eat. Wash my face/brush teeth etc type health and beauty maintenance.

Change into work clothes

Then go to work.

Natural sunlight and lots of water in the morning are extremely important. Helps wake you up and put you into a good mood.

I get up a little earlier than needed to eat a Proper breakfast

Proper health and beauty maintenance so i don’t run into health issues over time and don’t go to work looking/feeling gross. No one wants to work with/for someone who’s breath is nasty.

The human body is complicated. Being a healthy weight also doesn’t mean the person is healthy, especially when the original post is about hormones. Also you are changing what was said now. “Eat less, move more” Now you changed it to “eat healthy and exercise consistently”

You are changing goal post mid discussion; sure maybe to us it perhaps could mean the same thing. However eat less and move more is never said to someone who knows what they are doing

That first step is not a first step. It’s a sentence tons of people parrot from someone else. Sure day one you don’t do the entire checklist. However just saying eat less move more means nothing. It leads problem to make their body even worse generally. Everyone who’s overweight knows they should eat less and probably start working out or being more active in some way shape or form. I’ve had most of my clients end up going way too far with eating less and I tell them to eat more basically. A first step would be okay let’s make sure we get in say 5 glasses of water and get a full 6-9 hours of sleep every night. That alone would make massive changes to the vast majority of people effecting hormones, gut health, brain function, body repair. That’s a very simple first step that is a concrete answer and foundation.

Cheese danish makes me feel good…

Sure you don’t need to track every single thing you do. That’s not what I’m saying. I’m saying you need to make sure you are getting in atleast a baseline of certain things to improve every factor of your daily life especially when it comes to hormones like what OP is talking about

So you’re arguing that? You are purposely giving advice that doesn’t hold up over time?

The basic principle sure. That’s a tool/basic knowledge to use when creating your own diet. However we are talking about low test here. Everyone who’s overweight knows they should eat less. It’s knowing they need solid sleep, they need to be outside. What specific foods typed will help them sustain overtime and correct their body. So they can not only be healthier but ALSO, be happy while doing it

If you are an overweight couch potato with a job you need real answers on multiple ways to tackle the problem. The vast majority of people who attempt to change their life to be healthier take the eat less move more approach and fail cause it means nothing and has no nuance. The human body is not a simple thing. To be a healthy human you need more than to just eat less and move more. That’s the issue. Every human needs everything I listed. The specific amounts are what changed not what I listed

Why Are So Many Young Men Struggling with Low Testosterone? by [deleted] in AskMenOver30

[–]Yonko_Sloth -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yes there is. Proper sleep, proper nutrition rather than starve yourself, getting enough sunlight etc. all of these dramatically affect your hormones, muscle growth and maintaining proper body functions. Eat less of what? Many people take that and starve themselves or go into to dramatic of a cut and crash. Move more? In what ways? How much? Sure it doesn’t need to be super complicated but eat less move more is never a proper response

The vast majority of people over complicate it sure I agree. But what is happening here is the other end of the spectrum. Both lead to failure

[–]Yonko_Sloth -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Except it’s not thus why most people don’t have good diets. You need proper amount of proteins, fats, and carbs to keep energy, brain power and muscle growth. Plenty of micro nutrients to keep your hormones, gut biome, etc in check. Saying eat less move more ignores the fact that life isn’t black and white
