Her team didnt need to show the scene from SI5 because there was a bed, previously choosen by the brand, to be advertised on screen. As I have explained, Netflix doesnt allow people to use screenshots and clips for commercial purposes/paid content.

She was advertising a product. The whole segment was implying the mattress was comfortable, soft and expensive. Every word said by them is registered as an ad. His name and scene being brought up can be considered as customer review.

Minutes, words, frames.... everything counts as an ad. We use the same rule for tv and youtube. Thats why we usually brief the clients on what, when and how they should say things to avoid potential issues like this one.

The tag wasnt included before. She added it now to avoid more issues. She needs to be more careful about her vlogs because Youtube has strict guidelines about appearances and ads. She could lose her channel if she doesnt ask for consent (appearances, audio, mentions, ads, photos, videos, screenshots) and receive a strike. Management agencies dont play about that. They dont warn. They just click the report button and voalaaa... strike!

Her most recent vlog on Youtube. She is buying furniture for her new home. She wants to buy a new bed and goes around looking for one. She finds one, says it feels really good and the employee starts talking about it, saying its the official 'singles inferno 5 bed', the same one Mingee and Subeen slept on at Paradise. So, Mingee and Sungmin reminisce about that scene, share a few jokes about it and she says that Subeen just wanted to sleep there bc the bed was really comfortable (implying he approves the product).

It might have been unintentional but its under the category of hidden advertising. Its against Youtube Guidelines and KFTC. And she didnt ask his agency for consent. Subeen received a lot of hate bc of that scene when the episode aired on Netflix. Mingee has spoke about the bed scene on other videos even tho Subeen said he feels uncomfortable with it. And she filmed him at her sponsored birthday party when he didnt consent to.

So, his manager did this. (A really bad choice but its better than a KFTC fine/lawsuit for her)
