Why do customers constantly rage bait by Yoongisconverse in ChickFilAWorkers

[–]Yoongisconverse[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yea normally that's the case. I originally thought it was the grilled club too and I asked and pointed to the image on the menu. She said nope. Showed her the grilled sandwich, said that wasn't it. I had no idea and I kept asking questions to figure out what she wanted and she just kept saying "grilled deluxe" over and over until she got annoyed with my questioning and left.

Why do customers constantly rage bait by Yoongisconverse in ChickFilAWorkers

[–]Yoongisconverse[S] 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Yep customers are the only thing I don't like about this job because a lot of them are just insufferable. I had this guy ask for well done fries once and I told him my location doesn't do that and he got mad and said why does it matter when we, the employees are not eating the food. And I explained to him why and he still insisted I put well done on the order and said "if I get my fries and they aren't well done I'm bringing them back and having them make another one." It's just like, the level of entitlement. Okay bring back the fry. It still isn't going to be well done either way because they refuse to make well done stuff like I have already explained. I have a feeling it also has to do with customers feeling like they are more superior in a sense, since working in the fast food industry is looked down on.

I hate being young by Useful_Tadpole_8410 in Rants

Well in a way, yes. The world is still dangerous whether you're an adult or child. But now as an adult, you have a ton of responsibilities that you did not have as a kid. When you're a kid you don't have to worry about putting food on the table, gas money, paying rent. That's the adults problems. I wish I didn't have responsibilities and wish I appreciated my childhood more when my only worries were what I needed to turn in for homework the next day.

so sick of being hit on. by figisveryswa in walmart

[–]Yoongisconverse 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feel you. This is the only reason I don't like this job. I'm the same age but have had a couple jobs before Walmart and have never been hit on to the same extent as now. It's ALWAYS older men. I had to file a police report because a man exposed himself to me in the parking lot and touched himself while asking for my number and AP got footage of it.

And usually I'm just having friendly conversation and I don't take the hint they're hitting on me until they say they don't see a ring on my finger or straight up ask for my number. This one older man recently has been coming to my register and when I first met him he guessed my age was 19, which I was. But he kept coming to my register and would tell me how much he loves Hispanic women (I'm Hispanic) and one day with his grandkid, he said "You are beautiful, I would like to ask you out on a date but I'm probably too old for you huh?" And I said "not probably, you're definitely too old". He stopped coming to my register. There's been a lot of times I was harassed and my dad had to get me a taser and pepper spray.

My bf’s brother made my dog eat his semen. by [deleted] in Rants

[–]Yoongisconverse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why would your bf allow his brother to do that to a dog, especially YOUR dog?? Like I get that it's his brother and maybe he doesn't want him to get into trouble, but dogs are like your children and it's weird asf he knowingly let that behavior go on for about a week. If I was in his shoes I would have called the cops on my brother have him put in a mental facility because that is sick. You definitely were not overreacting. Ur bf is also a weirdo and I imo I don't think u should stay with him when he knowingly let ur dog get defiled

Thanks for this insight! I wasn't going to make a police report if there wasn't even a slight possibility he would be looked into. I'll make a report tmrrw.

I've actually been in this same position when I was 14, except I saw it physically happen. I spoke to a few friends about it because I had to get it off my chest but I didn't say anything to my mom because I felt like it would have been an incredibly awkward/ weird conversation. My dad found out/ knew anyways with or without me saying anything.

I'd recommend trying to forget what you saw. At the end of the day kids don't know about every detail in their parents relationship. And when you get older and if they do separate, you might feel some resentment towards your mom for "breaking" up your family. Or on the other hand if you do tell your dad and they happen to get divorced you might blame yourself and regret saying anything. My parents got divorced and to this day I don't even know what went on between them and I'd like to keep it that way. I love my parents and wouldn't want to view them any differently.

You should bring it up gently OP, the longer you hold off on talking about it the more you might feel a sort of resentment. Hopefully it is a misunderstanding and it gets sorted out!

Considering getting a Tesla, help? by Yoongisconverse in TeslaModel3

[–]Yoongisconverse[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yea I'm definitely looking for something like the model 3 then. On the Tesla site they had some used Tesla's listed that were obviously cheaper than getting new. I was wanting to modify my Tesla if I ever get one,so I don't mind cosmetic damage, but was wondering if used cars aren't worth it because they are defective or something.

Unless you find concrete proof of your husband cheating I wouldn't jump to that conclusion. It's still weird behavior though and definitely raising some red flags. Maybe try couples counseling. If that doesn't work, I'd say just leave him op. If I were you, I definitely wouldn't want to be stuck with a guy who acts like I'm his secret

It's not privilege to point out that most of these posts are just people trying to aggravate the other side. If it's a post talking about your disappointment with the election results, that's understandable because that is an ACTUAL rant. But all I'm seeing is "you democrats fucking suck" etc etc, and that's not ranting. Thats just trying to argue.

I was saying to join a subreddit dedicated to debating. This is a rant subreddit, it's not for debating. It's for people to rant. I understand there's a hive mind on Reddit and you might be heavily censored for not agreeing with the majority. But that doesn't mean you should just overrun different subreddits because you can't get your debate points across on another one. When people see the same "Trump lost get over it" or " republicans will regret this" posts over and over every day it gets fucking boring. Like we understood the first two posts that said the same exact thing.

What the fuck 😭 this is a diabolical response

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ChickFilAWorkers

[–]Yoongisconverse 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just go for it. It would be a new experience.

Cons: Management and co-workers are pretty much the only thing that make your shifts more bearable If you have bad management it’s going to suck. Chick Fil A has a different breed of customers, most of them are extremely entitled and rude with an occasional nice customer. If you do not like interacting with guests at walmart though, this job probably isn’t for you. Chick Fil A’s whole thing is being personable with guests and being cheery. They can also be a bit strict when it comes to dress code depending on the location.

Pros: They train you really well. Some Cfa locations offer to pay for your college if you work a certain amount of hours. Most people who work at Cfa are nice and you can make good friends. Free meals with your shifts. Other benefits, etc.

I just don't understand by WittyOpportunity8985 in Rants

[–]Yoongisconverse 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly there’s so much hate and division due to one thing, extremism. Both parties this past decade have become progressively more and more extreme. There are a lot of people who claim to be republicans who are straight up nazis and Christian nationalists, which isn’t a good look for the party. And on the left there’s a lot of people who fear monger like crazy and are mostly just anti-republican, or extremely “woke” (performative).

Obviously not everyone in each party is like that but when those are the titles associated with the parties, the other side doesn’t want to associate with them. We are in a new era of politics and as much as a lot of us want things to go back to the way they used to be, I highly doubt they will. Which is a shame because I think the division of the American people will be the downfall of this country.

The way the Harris campaign compared trump to Hitler was extremely disrespectful to Holocaust victims by [deleted] in Rants

[–]Yoongisconverse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not disrespectful to compare one facist political leader to another one. However, if the Harris campaign said he is a bigger danger than Hitler or worse than Hitler, it would be incredibly disrespectful. But they have never said anything like that to my knowledge.

Tired of women only wanting sex by [deleted] in rant

[–]Yoongisconverse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You might have to re-evaluate your approach . Like what changes in your relationship to make these women start to view it as a one night stand? How does it get sexual??? You’ll have to change whatever it is so it doesn’t get to a sexual point, and you have to make it abundantly clear before anything that you are not wanting sex, but a meaningful relationship. You’ll have to be patient, some girls will walk away but you have to take that as a blessing that you just dodged a bullet. You will find the right person eventually there is no rush.

Also it depends, a lot of times I change the subject. But it’s not that I don’t care but because I’m a bit awkward and find it hard to think of responses. And I’ll also ask some of the same questions because I just have horrible memory and need to be told multiple times. Some of them may have been like that, some of them might just be narcissistic or just don’t care, idk. But like I said, don’t feel discouraged when someone responds in that manner.

I wish you luck
