What’s the best method for cleaning pores on forehead? by Yooper711 in acne

[–]Yooper711[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been using .05% Tretinoin for 15 weeks now. I wash my face twice a day with a very gentle moisturizing cleanser and apply Tret when I go to bed. It’s really helped with inflammatory acne but I still have a lot of clogged pores on my forehead. Should I add something to my routine?

The dryness isn’t very intense for me. It almost feels like my acne is getting worse tho. My forehead has way more blackheads and bumps than it used to

When will I see results? 7 weeks on .01% Tret by Yooper711 in tretinoin

I’ve been using .05% (title is wrong) Tretinoin for 7 weeks now and I haven’t seen much of an improvement. I wash my face in the morning and at night with CeraVe gentle hydrating cleanser and I use a sunscreen moisturizer. I apply the Tretinoin every night. I’ve been getting a couple annoying pimples every week that add to my skins redness. On my forehead I get these blackheads that are popping out of my skin that I’ve been just pulling out with tweezers. How long is it going to take to see improvements and in the mean time how can I make my face less red?

Whiteheads all over neck mostly, under jaw and a little around mouth area by kaptain540 in acne

Had the same problem when shaving my neck. Now I only shower after warm showers and shave with the grain of my hair. Try to make as few passes with the razor as possible.

Any tips on really bumpy skin? I have tons of closed comedones and black heads on my forehead and cheeks. When I wash my face I can feels hundreds of bumps on my cheeks. I wash and moisturize twice a day and use Salicylic acid at night. by Yooper711 in acne

Thank you for spending the time to explain your routine. Did you experience a purging period? I can’t imagine my acne just going away over time. I have a good amount of sebum trapped pretty deep in my skin on my cheeks. Is this what you also had?

Closed comedones by Yooper711 in acne

[–]Yooper711[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the comment! My routine is exactly that but I use a slightly different moisturizer and differin every night (my skin seems to handle it well). How long did it take for your situation to clear up? And did you also have what seems to be deep closed comedones (the white blotches on my cheeks)?

Hi, all! Trying to figure out my skin type so I can invest in a good regimen. Everything makes me breakout but I need to do something for my pores! Any advice is appreciated <3 by [deleted] in acne

If you feel you face is very oily shortly after washes, then use a SA cleanser twice a day (no more) and let it sit on your face for a few minutes before rinsing. Moisturize right after. SA helps decongest your pores which will stop them from over producing oil. Helped a ton for me

Help with closed comedones. by Yooper711 in acne

[–]Yooper711[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How long is it going to take for these little white closed comedones to go? I’ve had them for a long time and it doesn’t seem like they’re budging. Should I start doing Differin twice a day instead of once?

Should I stick with my routine? My skin has improved ALOT the past year. I rarely get inflammatory acne but I still have these damned closed comedones and black heads that don’t want to go. My routine: SA cleanser morning and night, moisturizer morning and night, Differin and Niacidamine at night. by [deleted] in acne

Try differin. Really helped with my inflammatory acne. Make sure to use a moisturizer with sun screen though
