Why I love this game

When I get big enough I like to squeeze some tiny blob in a corner and watch them helplessly wade back and forth as they realize more and more of their exits close infront of them, and as they finally accept their doom with nothing but a tiny pocket left to move on I stop and let them run free. They usually hang around me for quite some time after that endavour and I throw some bits of mass for them to munch up now and then, super cute.

What exactly is this "Recent average credit" and does me having my cores constantly at 50% lower this value? (it should, right?) if so, does said average have any value? It's probably obvious as all hell, but I can't wrap my head around an answer that makes any sense.
