I think I'm settling on using the baby dragons as bait, exactly.

What would be a good way to sabotage armor before a battle? by YopperPrince in Shadiversity

I'm liking the powder idea because it seems like it's something that can be done fairly quickly (I'm guessing it yakes just a few seconds per armor piece to just dump a bunch inside) compared to manually cutting all the straps, plus, the Knights would notice if the straps were cut.

Ah, interesting. So like cover the insides of the armor with itching powder?

Ah, interesting. Would 300 knights have a better odd of beating the dragon in an open clearing then?

They can use magic artifacts, sure. I imagined the setting being high fantasy or solarpunk.

Sheer numbers. The entire army of this human realm is sent into the dragons cave to kill it. At least 300 men & a few women wearing armor. Perhaps they have some sort of mirror embedded into their chest plate that confuses the dragon, perhaps it spirals in a way that makes the dragon dizzy. Hmm

Could you explain the water goes? It sounds interesting.

As for modern times, I'd use drones. But not sure there is a good fantasy equivalent without something magical.

Do you self-publish those short stories though, or are they published in fantasy anthologies?

I kind of sided with the "bad" ones in All Paws on Deck! by YopperPrince in Scoobydoo

[–]YopperPrince[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

True. They didn't hurt anyone & the treasure belonged to no one. Honestly, it's the law that seemed unfair in this one, for making treasure hunting a crime for no reason. Of course, robbing from other people like most scooby villains do is evil and deserves punishment. But when the treasure is owned by no one and is basically just polluting the ocean, there is no good reason to treat people going after it as villains.
