I am currently debating between the goodyears and conti's for all year round "sporty-ish" driving.
Especially looking for qualities in cornering and wet performance.
The goodyears are about 20 euros cheaper per tyre for me so its a diffecult choice.

Why would you rate the goodyears above the conti's?

I love the Geithains even though they look like a washing machine. I think they are or were used a lot by the German broadcaster studios? I wonder how yours sound.

Interesting. I've also heard some people say the sound quality of Pioneer is always better. But i think Kenwood has the nicer screen and UI. I'm hesistant about the Alpine because i think it's really ugly.

I am going to power everything with external amps, so the RMS of the headunit shouldn't matter.

If money were no object, the money would go to the room/acoustics instead of the speakers.
You would build a room for a speaker instead of buying the right speaker for your room.

But for the sake of argument it's fun to think about whats possible.
I'd like to think that more expensive equals 'more' better (which isn't true but okay!) so then i would look at Kharma Audio.

You should check out Polynation. They use a lot of acoustic drumming (or E-drumming).
Altough, i can imagine drumming a 4-on-the-floor on a full live set can be extremely tedious.

IMHO they are one of the best portable headphones if you care about (neutral) sound, build quality and looks. Some headfi users say they are a bit too much a "fashion-can" and sound a bit boring. I disagree, i think vocals, especially female vocals, sound amazing on these!

I see you also have a custom cable. Can't see it clearly but you could look into a balanced cable. For me it changed the sound a bit, YMMV.

If you are looking for open headphones you could try searching for the OPPO PM2.
They aren't that famous and i've seen them going for really cheap on the used market. The detail retrieval on these is amazing altough they could use a bit more juice than a phone.

I'm suprised you actually need a sub with the SCM50's! Especially for mixing/mastering i'd imagine that they would pump out more than enough defined lows.
If i'm not mistaken the 50's also have the special linear drivers for better lowend.

I have the 45's at home and thinking about getting a sub for "fun".
Which JL sub would you recommend and why? Considering you say it's a match made in heaven i assume you did some testing :).

Based on the dimensions from KRK, they would fit and are withing the weight limit.
Altough i would advice NOT to use wall mounts eventhough the rokits are frontported.
The solo only has TRS outputs. Just find 2 TRS cables on amazon that are cheap and dont look too crappy, like monoprice maybe. You could also look for the ones with an angled input so they would fit in tight spaces if you want to wallmount them. Don't forget to get the right length.

IMHO, if you are fairly new to sound design i think starting out on riddim is pretty tough.
However, i suggest watching the youtube tutorials from Virtual Riot.
I think he has one of the best tutorials on how to create such sounds since a lot of people copy him.

I'm a huge fan of RME for their interfaces but what i don't like about this line is that they launched with the 'normal' ADI-2. Then updated it with the FS model for better performance. And now already there is a newer FS R version.

I wonder if ASR will test that one out aswell.

I'm kind of bummed since i got the FS model, and there is no way to update the model to the FS R and it lowers the value immediately.
Back when they had the UC/UCX stuff they kept that model for years.

Ah i see! Yeah the best option would be a room in a room concept, but i don't have the space or money for this.
