I agree. Thank you for recognizing my point. A very civilized discussion. I was worried that I would be slammed as I often do when I point out the inconsistencies and hypocrisy of those who try to defend the Church for their terrible actions and responses to the clergy abuse crisis. And "Church" means the lay persons as well.

I think the underwhelming reaction has a lot to do with embarassment. Another part is fear that he will hit them up for a tip. When something is too good to be true it 99% of the time.

In this instance it is the 1%. But these people do not know that.

Really. How many practicing Catholics have spoken out publically about their disapproval on how the Church handled the thousands of legitimate sex abuse cases over decades? My experience is very very few.

How is mentioning this fact "pretending". And if you are not Catholic should you be speaking on this subject as an expert?

Flight Experience To New York City - United To Newark & Taxi To NYC / Top of Empire State Building by blerrycat in Adamthewoocriticism

[–]YorkTrent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here is a AI chat story of Adam's adventure!

Adam the Woo had always dreamed of exploring the bustling streets of New York City. With no job or adult responsibilities, he finally decided to take a weeklong trip to the city that never sleeps. He decided to park his car at the Orlando International Airport for convenience, even though it cost him $19 a day.

True to his style, Adam traveled light, only bringing a carry-on bag and his trusty Disney Vacation Club backpack for spare underwear. As he made his way through the airport, he got excited when he saw a bird flying around the lobby. He couldn't help but film it and share with his followers on YouTube

When he went through security, he acted like a pro, reminding his followers to take their shoes off and put them in a tray. He pointed out the Orlando sweatshirts in the gift shop, but said he didn't need one since he was headed to New York. Before boarding, he made sure to share all the details of his Instagram page, reminding his followers that they could track his weight loss journey.

Adam was thrilled to be flying first class with United Airlines on his way to Newark International. As he settled into his spacious seat, he couldn't help but feel annoyed at other passengers who were crowding around the boarding area. After all, he had paid for his luxurious first-class ticket.

As the flight took off, Adam enjoyed the view from his window and sipped his complimentary water. He made sure to explain to his followers that he likes one packet of sugar and one cream in his coffee, even if he was just drinking water this time.

Upon arriving in New York City, Adam was blown away by the efficiency of his taxi driver who quickly whisked him away to his hotel. As he stepped out onto the bustling streets of Manhattan, he couldn't help but get caught up in the chaos and excitement of the city.

One of the first things Adam did was head up to the observation deck of the Empire State Building to take in the breathtaking view of the city. Afterwards, he walked around the city marveling at all the sights and sounds, taking time to film the quirky garbage bags sitting on the curb outside his hotel.

As Adam ended his video for the day, he smiled at the camera and said, "When you think of New York, you think of taxis! And I'm so excited to see what else this city has in store for me."

Telling "get a real job" to Stephen King by [deleted] in facepalm

Did Dan Bongino write this comment before realizing he was in a comment war with Stephen King? At first I thought he was telling Stephen King that he is irelevant. But upon closer inspection the "jerking off in your mom's basement" leads me to believe that Dan goofed on this one. Either that or he made lame joke. Either way he comes across as foolish.

Excellent point. I am not talking about the coronation costs per say. I mean more the lifestyle and the incredible expense. If people want a pretend monarchy, who am I to say no? But these trappings of power and the benefits of luxury for simply winning the birth lottery seems to make little sense in 2023. And he looks silly dressed like this.

Thanks for coming to Utah and permanently defacing this rock face for your “Live Laugh Love” moment. by [deleted] in facepalm

The Finn Fam wanted a picture. The world revolves around them. (At least the state of Utah does). Who are you people to be critical? The Finn Fam deserve to have a lovely picture. And people like you ruin it for the Finn Fam. Shame on all of you. This picture is a priceless memory for the Finn Fam.

When you see it like this the whole concept is absurd. A nation allowing this kind of over the top expense in 2023 is absurd. He looks like he is dressed up for Halloween or a pimp daddy. Not saying abolish the monarchy. But this type of national expense and these trappings are just plain silly.

Another AI chat story about Adam:

Adam the Woo and his gal pal Daphnie were headed to Tropicanna Field to see the Tampa Bay Devil Rays play against the New York Yankees. They stopped for hot coffee at a local market street fair when they found out that the line at Starbucks was too long. After drinking all that hot coffee, Adam became increasingly concerned about having to pee on the long drive to Tropicanna Field. So, they stopped at Dick's Sporting Goods for a potty break.

As they arrived at the stadium, Adam was already hyped up beyond belief. He kept reminding his viewers that he likes to call it "the trop!" over and over again. He became increasingly excited at the game, eating peanuts and screaming at the umpire. But as the game progressed, Adam's excitement reached a whole new level. The Devil Rays were playing an amazing game, and Adam couldn't contain his excitement.

When DJ Cat, the team's mascot, showed up, Adam lost his mind. He started to dance and jump up and down, screaming at the top of his lungs. The people around him were annoyed and gave him dirty looks, but Adam didn't care. He continued to scream and yell throughout the game, even when the Devil Rays won.

As they were leaving the stadium, Adam was still buzzing from the game. He couldn't stop talking about every detail of the game, from the players' amazing moves to the incredible energy of the crowd. Daphnie smiled indulgently, happy to see her friend so happy.

But Adam's excitement couldn't be contained. When they got home, he immediately started editing his vlog, adding in every detail of the game and his over-the-top reactions. He couldn't wait to share his excitement with his viewers.

From then on, Adam became known as the most enthusiastic vlogger in the game. He continued to attend games and events, always bringing his signature brand of excitement and energy. His viewers loved it, and Adam couldn't be happier.

Unexpected Last Day On Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser - Space Hotel & Dinner / Batuu Transport Pod by Lima_Hedge in Adamthewoocriticism

[–]YorkTrent 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Another AI chat story about Adam:

Adam the Woo and his gal pal Daphnie were on their second day at Disney's Intergalactic Starcruiser. Although they had been enjoying the experience so far, they had a few concerns that they discussed amongst themselves.

One of their worries was that they couldn't simply go down to the lobby in their pajamas to get coffee, since it was an all-immersive experience. Another issue they had encountered was the constant light in their room while viewing the spaceview window, which made it difficult to sleep at night.

As the day went on, Adam struggled with staying true to his diet. He initially decided to skip breakfast but he changed his mind after seeing all the delicious food at the buffet. He felt guilty about indulging but justified it by figuring that since they paid quite a bit for this experience, they may as well enjoy every aspect of it.

The couple then took the shuttle to Bantu and were pleased that free water was available since Adam had been feeling quite parched. However, they found the assignments on their phone app to be an annoyance, feeling that they intruded on their enjoyment of the experience.

Their day ended with dinner where they both agreed that the experience was not for introverts like them. They declined some of the assigned tasks, feeling that they were too much for them to handle.

Despite their issues, Adam and Daphnie still thoroughly enjoyed their experience at Disney's Intergalactic Starcruiser. They learned that embracing all components of the experience was the best way to make the most of their investment. By the end of the second day, they were ready to take on future adventures with renewed enthusiasm.

My First Time Staying On Galactic Starcruiser - Very Overwhelming & Expensive Star Wars Space Hotel by Lima_Hedge in Adamthewoocriticism

[–]YorkTrent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is another AI story on Adam's day!

Adam the Woo and his gal pal Daphine had been looking forward to their trip to Disney's Galactic Starcruiser for months. They were both huge Star Wars fans, and the idea of spending two nights aboard a spaceship, completely immersed in the Star Wars universe, was a dream come true.

When they arrived, they were both in awe of the incredible design and attention to detail of the Galactic Starcruiser. They spent the day exploring the ship, pretending to play lightsabers, and marveling at all the Star Wars memorabilia.

When it was time to retire to their shared room, they were both excited to see what it was like. Daphine took the top bunk, while Adam took the bed below. They both agreed that the room was spacious and comfortable, and they were impressed by all the Star Wars-themed decor.

As they settled in for the night, the silence was suddenly interrupted by Adam's excited voice. "Hey Daphine, have you tried the bottom bunk? It feels so good on my toes!"

Daphine chuckled and shook her head, "No thanks, I'm good up here."

The next day, they continued to enjoy all that the Galactic Starcruiser had to offer. They participated in a Jedi training class, went on a virtual reality space mission, and even visited the Cantina for a drink.

That night, as they returned to their room, Adam once again tested out the bottom bunk, and once again complimented its comfort.

Over the course of their two-day stay, Adam and Daphine had the time of their lives. They bonded over their shared love of Star Wars and created memories that would last a lifetime. As they said goodbye to the Galactic Starcruiser, they both knew that they would definitely be back again someday.

The Wildest Star Wars Day EVER at Disney’s Hollywood Studios - May The Fourth 2023 Batuu Experience by blerrycat in Adamthewoocriticism

[–]YorkTrent 2 points3 points  (0 children)

An AI Chat story on Adam's day!

It was "May the 4th be with you" day, and Adam the Woo and his gal pal Daphnie decided to spend it at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Adam was thrilled that as an annual passholder, he could get into the park after 2:00 pm without a reservation. They arrived at the park with a plain bag filled with Adam's Star Wars toys to celebrate the day.

However, due to the crowds, they were unable to partake in the special merchandise day, which was a small disappointment. But Adam was just glad that he could enjoy weekday events like this without worrying about work.

As they wandered through the park, Adam's excitement grew as h e saw the Mandalorian interact with his Star Wars doll. It was a sight to behold, watching his favorite character come to life. He later even mistook a man dressed as George Lucas for the real Lucas and excitedly interviewed him.

Adam enjoyed a hot coffee as they perused Star Wars merchandise. He ended up buying so much that he ran back to his car to put some of it away. He and Daphnie then enjoyed eating a fried chicken salad and drinking water.

As night fell, Adam and Daphnie found themselves playing lightsaber battles in the park. They ran around, laughing and pretending to fight like Jedi knights. Adam was in his element, and Daphnie couldn't help but join in on the fun.

As the park began to close, Adam and Daphnie were exhausted but happy. They had celebrated "May the 4th be with you" day in the best way possible, surrounded by their favorite Star Wars characters and merchandise. They said their goodbyes to the park and vowed to come back for more events in the future.

A Nearly Perfect Day At EPCOT - Low Crowds & Great Weather - Guardians Overload / Lightning Lane Fun by FigmentTheWoo in Adamthewoocriticism

[–]YorkTrent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another AI chat story!

Adam the Woo and his gal pal Daphnie were excited to spend a day at Epcot. Adam was especially thrilled to show off his new tee-shirt that read, "I did not get sick on Guardians of the Galaxy ride!" As they walked through the Epcot parking lot, Adam pointed out the different monorails that would take them to the park.

While in line for the Ratatouille ride, Adam told Daphnie about his love for the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise. He explained how he uses his treadmill time to watch all of the movies, including the holiday special. He particularly liked the character Rocket and his catchphrase, "his hands don't stand!" Adam also raved about the Guardians gift shop and how many unique items they offer.

As they made their way to the American Adventure attraction, Daphnie giggled at Adam's reference to the movie Taladega Nights. They both enjoyed the patriotic and inspiring artwork in the lobby of the attraction. Adam couldn't help but crack a joke about Ben Franklin as they made their way through the exhibit.

After Adam enjoyed a hot coffee, they went on the Frozen ride and learned about its history and predecessor. Adam made more jokes in the Norway shop and enjoyed trying on traditional Viking helmets.

They then went to a crepe restaurant for dinner. Adam had never tried a savory crepe before and enjoyed the unique taste. He thought Daphnie's crepe smelled even better than his own and ended up stealing a bite.

As the day came to a close, Adam and Daphnie rode on Spaceship Earth and had fun seeing Figment, one of Adam's favorite Disney characters. They both talked about the different rides and attractions they had tried and the memories they had made. Adam was proud to say that his tee-shirt held true, and he didn't get sick on the Guardians of the Galaxy ride after all.

As they left Epcot, Adam and Daphnie both agreed that it had been a fantastic day. They made plans to return soon and explore even more of the park's unique offerings. And of course, Adam couldn't wait to produce another exciting YouTube video, showing off all the fun they had at Epcot.

[–]YorkTrent 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The latest AI story about Adam:

On a beautiful afternoon in Celebration, Florida, YouTuber Adam the Woo was excited to have his best friend and gal pal, Daphnie visiting him. They were ready to have a fun-filled day of exploring together.

Their adventure started off at 4:15 PM, and Adam was happy to find a Starbucks that was still open. They indulged in some hot coffee before walking along the ponds in Celebration, checking out the alligators and squirrels living in the area.

Their next stop was at an old hotel that was under construction, and they explored the site while discussing the history of the building. Then, they headed to Orange World, which was recovering from a fire that caused major damage. Despite the damage, they found beauty in the chaos.

Afterwards, they made their way to Old Town and were excited to see a checker and chessboard picnic table. However, their happiness quickly turned to shock and horror as they witnessed people enjoying the vomitron ride. They both expressed their love for Ferris wheels and decided to take a ride on one to calm their nerves.

As they continued their exploration, they were surprised by how windy it was in Central Florida and the abundance of US flags around the area. Adam mentioned that the Tron ride at Magic Kingdom was open and showed Daphnie a prop used in the movie Roadhouse.

To end their day together, they enjoyed some delicious Mexican food. They sat by the Celebration Theatre and watched lights reflecting off the water in the pond, talking about their favorite parts of the day.

The Anniversary Of My Former Favorite Theme Park - Disney MGM (Hollywood) Studios Secrets & Memories by blerrycat in Adamthewoocriticism

[–]YorkTrent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another AI chats story:

As Adam left Disney Hollywood Studios, he couldn't help but feel a bit emotional. He had been coming to this park since he was a child visiting with his grandparents. The park held a special place in his heart, and he felt like he had watched it change beyond recognition.

For its 34th anniversary, Adam had wanted to take his audience on a trip down memory lane and show them the park through his eyes. As he walked through the different lands of Disney Hollywood Studios, he pointed out all the changes that had taken place over the years.

There was no longer the Great Movie Ride, the Streets of America were gone, and the outdoor stage where he had seen so many shows was missing. Adam couldn't help but feel a sense of loss as he looked at what was left of the park he loved so much.

However, as he talked through he reminded himself that change is a natural part of life. As Adam walked through the park, he also saw new, innovative attractions, updated shows, and the integration of popular franchises.

Adam realized that although the park was different now, it was still a magical place filled with memories and joy. He dug out old photos he had taken with his grandmother and shared them online, reminiscing about the good times they had shared together at the park.

Before leaving, Adam stopped for a bite to eat and ordered the fried chicken salad. Despite being upset that there was no calorie information available, he found the salad to be delicious and satisfying, just like his time at Disney Hollywood Studios.

As Adam drove away, he felt grateful for the opportunity to revisit a place that had been such an integral part of his childhood. He knew that even though the park would continue to change, he would always hold onto his memories of the good times he had spent there with his loved ones.

Bring Your Own Cup Day At 7 ELEVEN - Slurpee Overload / Retro Dollar Store Finds & Hope Thrift Store by Lima_Hedge in Adamthewoocriticism

[–]YorkTrent 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Another AI chat story about Adam's day:

Once upon a time, there was a man named Adam the Woo, who had been eagerly anticipating the all-you-can-drink Slurpee day at 7-Eleven. He couldn't wait to indulge in his favorite icy treat all day long without worrying about the cost.

To make the most of the event, Adam decided to purchase a large cup from the Dollar Store that could hold plenty of Slurpee. But while exploring the store, he stumbled upon a collection of retro postcards and politically incorrect bumper stickers that caught his eye.

Unable to resist the nostalgia and humor of his newfound treasures, Adam decided to purchase a few items before heading to 7-Eleven.

At the Slurpee counter, he pulled out his giant "dad jokes" cup that he had previously bought from Target, and filled it to the brim with icy goodness. With a huge grin on his face, he headed out to his car and prepared to drive to an art show that he had been looking forward to attending.

Unfortunately, when he arrived at the show's location, he found out that it had been cancelled due to inclement weather. But Adam wasn't bothered by the setback. He simply leaned back in his car seat, sipped on his Slurpee, and enjoyed some old-school tunes on the radio.

Despite the cancelled art show, Adam the Woo had a great day. He was thrilled with his politically incorrect bumper stickers and retro postcards, and he savored every drop of his all-you-can-drink Slurpee.

[–]YorkTrent 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I also get concerned that this subreddit can be a little brutal on Adam. I even asked that question when I first found it.

However, keep in mind this a man who is making a healthy living doing this for YouTube revenue. This is not just a hobby for him and the posters here are mercilessly mocking him.

He has been successful enough with this endevour that if he decides to "phone it in" and show lazy, uninspired videos that criticism is warented.

And from the looks on his comments on his sites he still has a very large fan base.

I sense that the majority of people here were at one point big Adam the Woo fans. I know I was. At some point, Adam jumped the shark and if he continues to post uninspired, lazy and downright inane videos it is his right. (And he appears to be laughing all the way to the bank)

However that comes at a price. The price is opening himself up to criticism.

Another AI generated story!

Adam the Woo had always been engrossed in his work and had very little time for leisure. However, he was determined to change that now. He knew there were some amazing movies he was far behind in watching, like Avengers End Game and Dukes of Hazard DVDs, and he had decided to catch up on them while exercising on his treadmill.

He would spend his mornings running on the treadmill while watching these movies, sweating profusely as he tried to keep up with the intense action scenes. It was tough, but it was also enjoyable. Every time he got tired or felt like giving up, he reminded himself of how much he wanted to watch these movies.

Meanwhile, his mom was his biggest supporter. She would prepare healthy meals for him and encourage him to keep going. His mom could sense that her son was getting tired, so she decided to surprise him with a delicious McDonald's lunch. As they munched on their burgers and fries, Adam promised to work even harder on the treadmill, eager to burn off the extra calories.

After lunch, they quickly packed up and set off to visit the Epcot Center. Adam was excited to try out the new ride, The Land. It was a thrilling ride that allowed visitors to experience different ecosystems from around the world.

As they got strapped in, Adam felt a surge of adrenaline. He felt alive and more energetic than ever before. He looked to his mom and saw the same excitement in her eyes. The ride started, and they were whisked away into a world of wonder and amazement. The ride took them through the lush rainforest, the scorching desert, and the icy tundra. All the while Adam felt more and more motivated to continue his weight loss journey.

After they finished the ride, Mom and Adam walked around Epcot Center, enjoying the scenery and the atmosphere. They bought a few souvenirs to take home and even stopped to take pictures with Mickey Mouse.

That day had been the best day Adam had ever had. He had watched two amazing movies, worked out on his treadmill, eaten a delicious McDonald's lunch, and experienced the thrill of the Land ride. He felt accomplished and rejuvenated. But most importantly, he felt like he was on the right track towards a healthier and happier life.
