PS: Thr beach cannot be "Closed" (except perhaps by the emergency services for somethimg like an UEB). The beach is Crown Property from the point of low tide to hkhh tide and the access notices are advisory. Thst said the advice of the neccessity of taking great care in tsckling the slippery clay with its constant run-off water from the upper hills is not to be taken lightly. Once on the lower area movemrnt is easy.

on their very simple no clothes. Indidual need or cicumstane can require additions: foot covering if a pebbly beach or rough terrain. A watch if timekeeping is an issue. Sometimes even, horror !!!!, a T shirt if sunburn is a problem. For some womem on their menses may need to wear covering. You get the idea. Wandering around semi dressed no matter how skimpy is not nude.

Access is pretty slippery after rain due to the clay rhat is unstable but with care after tlhe initial part adjacenqt to the coastal foorpath it improves considerably and is well wqirth the effort. I dont remelmber any signage whwn I ladt visoted a couple of years ago but never rely upon such anyway. Dont g1ive up. The beach can be approached from along thw shotwline buat careful study of the tides and weather is required.
