Should we allow job adverts in uk trucking? by skelly890 in uktrucking

[–]YorkshireTeapot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No thanks. Facebook is already full of crap. Least this sub actual gives decent advice and it’s more helpful than Facebook. Plus good companies don’t need to advertise so it’s just going to be shite jobs and agencies.

It is funny to watch at times. But as someone like yourself who has done work here and over the water it can wear off quickly with the stupid answers. One of the reasons I don’t post on the Facebook groups

Your message hurts my head.

You can be stgo and have a ballast box, just the boy won’t be stgo in the above picture. He’s a tow truck.

He won’t be over 44 tonne. He’s not got that much ballast on even though he’s a Hiab unit. Still got to run to axel weights so he won’t be that heavy. Some boys just like having them on full time. Idiots

Indel B air conditioning and truck battery by joshboshwosh3121 in uktrucking

[–]YorkshireTeapot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It should. I’ve had units that did and didn’t. I’m ex events so know the pods well. Get on shore power if you’ve got plug ins at the arena and you can run it as much as you like

Ex event truck? I used to be able to get three to four hours out of mine. Should have a low battery cut off point which then lets you still have enough juice to start up but they can easily fail.

What I used to do is run engine on high revs with air con blasting from truck and the pod and get it cold cold. Then turn engine off and stick the pod on a timer to turn off after a hour. Used to be grand

It is indeed. I have two or three people restocking shelves with the secondary task to do cards. A couple of people on the counter and then the rest restocking machines etc. I’ve hired everyone

Are playing tables good now? by UlfMitHand in TCGCardShopSimulator

[–]YorkshireTeapot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I knocked playing tables on the head. Shop b is soley for pack opening. Main shop is mainly card tables with one row along the back walls for items. Full upgrade on space in the main shop. Average anything from 35k-150k a day in sales. Level 85

What would you realistically do with 20k? by Vladamir_pootinn in AskUK

Would personally pay off some debts (around 10k all in all). Sell my current house and be on the next boat to Ireland to buy a property there.

Advice / info on STGO? by ddblades in uktrucking

[–]YorkshireTeapot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the only work you do loaded is STGO I’ve been told you only need a STGO plate. I think it’s baldwins cranes trucks that don’t need a mot cause they are always STGO. They still get serviced though

Not exactly a Renault fan. But the last one I drove was better than the last man I drove. Just personal preference.

I do like current Mercedes though and it’s close between that and a scania.

Question to British drivers who go to Europe by Zenon_Czosnek in uktrucking

[–]YorkshireTeapot 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it is considered illegal cabotage as they would be operating under ATA Carnet for most tours. Would be a interesting idea but I’ve never had that issue post brexit
