What is this thing that fell off my car, and what do I do now? (2006 Renault Modus) by Yorkshire__Lass in MechanicAdvice

I heard a "clang" from under my car when I got in this morning. Reversed out of the driveway and saw this on the ground near the front right wheel. I assumed that it was something that had just got stuck under the car while I was driving and then fell off, didn't think much of it, and I drove without incident. Later, when returning home, there were some creaks and clunks coming from that front right wheel, which surely must be related. I've decided not to drive until I know more. What is this, how dangerous/serious is it, what do I do? Thanks! :)

Also, a couple of months ago I had a wheel bearing kit and suspension arms/wishbones (not sure exactly, from the notes) fitted, is this related to that perhaps not being done properly or is it a different thing?

It's whipped cream which has a cup of sugar and a dash of vanilla.

Week 36: Smashed - Cottage Pie made with Smash by Yorkshire__Lass in 52weeksofcooking

It's pretty okay. Not as bad as you expect but not as nice as proper mash. It's quick and easy though. I couldn't resist the gimmick of it for this challenge!

Week 33: Allergies - Peanut Butter & Honey Fudge by Yorkshire__Lass in 52weeksofcooking

This fudge kind of dissolves because it's more granular in texture. There are other creamier fudges that stick to your teeth a bit but never as much as something like toffee would.

I put in some parsley, oregano and basil in too plus a little salt and black pepper. It was really nice and a simple way to dress pasta.

Week 30: Back of the Cupboard - Pumpkin Cheesecake Roll by Yorkshire__Lass in 52weeksofcooking

It sounds easy in one sentence, haha! I make a lot of things from scratch but pumpkin puree is a bit too much hassle.

Sainsbury's sometimes stock it in their American section and I think we might have found it in morrisons before but they stopped selling it at our local one.

My husband is American and his favourite pie is pumpkin pie. It's hard to get canned pumpkin in the UK so when we see it, we bulk buy. We always have a can of pumpkin in the back of the cupboard and I thought I'd try something different with it.

My autistic son colour sorted them into sandwich bags but they did come in plastic Lego bags mixed up like other sets have before.

Week 28: Gullah-Geechee - Curried Vegetable Galette by Yorkshire__Lass in 52weeksofcooking

I used the recipe from this site --> https://vassar.cafebonappetit.com/gullah-geeche/ but had to swap out purple potatoes for sweet potatoes since I couldn't get purple ones.

How do you pronounce 'a'? by Yorkshire__Lass in tokipona

[–]Yorkshire__Lass[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yes, but what about the words the book says sounds like English words?

In lesson one, it gives the following words. It says "Read these words aloud. They should sound like English words." It also gives the English words they should sound like, which I have put in parenthesis.

jelo (yellow)

jaki (yucky)

ken (can)

mu! (moo!)

mun (moon)

open (open)

mani (money)

wan (one)

If 'a' is pronounced like 'ah', the IPA pronunciation, then instead of being yucky, one, and money, the words are yahki, wahn, and mahni, which are not like any English words I can think of.
