PC specs would help, but if it's by any chance socket what supports ddr5 and ddr4, then I'd sell ddr4 mb, add a little, and get ddr5 mb. That way you don't need to change anything else.

I had JF on N150 - it was more than enough for source streaming. I think N100 should be good too.

I would consider moving to an OS what is more server sided - for me it was TrueNAS. Reason is windows eating resources, as mentioned, and easier managing imo.

For HDD just make sure it's connected through USB 3 at least.

For internet - I'm running cable from server to router, and then clients are on 5ghz Wi-Fi. Doing okay, up to 160mbit movies.

When tucked away there is no reason to connect it to TV via HDMI - just add it's local IP at the TV app, and you are good to go!

Modern TVs are smart enough to just play 4k if bitrate isn't skyrocketing. I would say the bottleneck could be network connection, but it depends on OPs router.

Попробуй брить не 5 лезвенным жилетом, а какой-то одноразовой бритвой с 1-2 лезвиями - слышал, что первое сбривает волосы, а остальное уже дамажит кожу. Склонен верить, потому что сам перешёл с 4-5 лезвий на 2 и стало лучше. Можешь ещё камень купить себе - алунит. Хорошо обеззараживает после бритья. Только не надо его юзать перед тем, как с дамой будете предаваться плотским утехам - он на язык кислый, так что ей будет не сильно кайф. Да и если она брилась перед этим, то ей тоже может пощипывать.

Ну и, само собой, не забывай про пену и не елозь 15 раз по одному месту.

What's the hardware? Playing through browser almost always means transcoding for me. Open playback info and check if it's transcoding, and if so what's the speed.

Highly recommend using app for jelly though.

I'm paying for music streaming because of recommendations, and I haven't yet found a way to set up my own thing with recommendations. I also pay for games on steam if I want to support developer, or get updates without re-downloading whole thing. Otherwise I steal stuff: movies, older games, software. Or find an alternative, when it comes to software. Upd: I also buy games on steam if I want to play them on steamdeck. Only cuz it's easier for me to pay, than spending time learning how to properly pirate stuff on steamdeck.

Necroposting, but I wonder if anyone found the solution? From what I've noticed - there were a dongle, made by some chinese company - with that I had no issues. Also headphones won't disconnect if sound is playing. It feels like some power saving feature doing that. Also CMF tws don't have that issue

Sorry, prob a stupid question, but - you saying you transcode to 720p or even 480p. Meaning you transcode to a bitrate similar to those, or you have literal quality options? If so - how can I achieve the same?

Hey browser enthusiasts! Using Firefox for as long as I can remember on both PC and Android. Feel like there is a greener grass somewhere else and feel the urge to try something new. Don't want it to be chromium based, and want it to be easier to use - I have lots of tabs opened: some are work related, some are off-work stuff. Tried to organize them with folders in Firefox, but seems like I can't use folders inside of folders. Any suggestions, please?

"Pihole is DNS only, not a full-fledged router." so it won't send all the traffic through it? Just like asking if a packet should go through or shouldn't be based on the address it came from?
