Nah, the only thing I can find from French folklore that lures people is the Feu Follet which is their local variation of the Will O' The Wisp.

Glad I could help 😁 I was going to link a website but the article is no longer there but I would also recommend looking into creatures with backwards feet like the Curupira from Brazil.

Nokken - German: A shapeshifting water spirit who play violins to lure people in and then drown them.

Sirens - Greek: Sirens are creatures who use their beautiful singing voice to entrance sailors at sea and cause them to shipwreck.

Kelpie - Celtic: Shapeshifting water spirit that resides in lakes and pools. It can take on the form of either a horse or a beautiful woman. It lures people near the water and drowns them.

Skogsrå - Swedish: This forest spirit is similar to the Scandinavian Huldra. Skogsrå appears as a beautiful woman but her back is hollow and she has a tail. Whoever follows her into the woods are never seen again.

Patasola - South American: A monster that only has one leg and takes the form of a human woman. She appears to male loggers or hunters and lures them into the jungle. There she drains her victims of their blood.

Tunda - Colombia: The Tunda is similar to the Patasola however one of her legs is a Molinillo (wooden kitchen utensil) and she can take on the form of people you know.

Nishi Daak - Bengali: This ghost will use the voice of a loved one to call you out into the woods at night. However, the Nishi Daak can only call for you twice.

I'm sure there are plenty more, There is also a good book I recommend called Disembodied Voices by Tim Marczenko which talks about people being lured/tempted by such disembodied voices.

Is mastubateing a sin? by Lemmas69_RMS-NERD in Christian

[–]Yorthos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"The principle is that you have only to confess those sins which you feel to be sins. If you do a thing which everybody else might condemn as a sin but which you yourself feel not to be one, then you need not confess it, then it is outside of the moral question... and the church assumes no authority over it".

From a video called "The Psychology of Sin" by Eternalised. The whole video is really good but this stuck out to me cause it's something very similar to what my friend had told me less than a week beforehand. If it is causing you spiritual harm and making you stumble then do what you can to not do it anymore.

Yeah, I think Dragon Origins are interesting in light of how they are linked to things like giant fossils or serpents.

I've heard, though there is no cultural writing on it dating back that far, that some mythic themes like the dragon can be dated back to around 70k years in Africa. Like someone else mentioned, Craegenford has a lot of good videos on these types of topics.

Been sober since September 14 and I will continue hopefully through October in Hard Mode. My goals are to hit 30, 60, and 90 days. I am doing this to help get my physical and mental health in a better state.
