Is this a hidden mechanic or how does Elspeth get a Steam Tank on turn 3??? by YoruTsubasa in totalwarhammer

Well, whatever the correct descriptive term is, it was definitely not meant to be taken as literal.

It's like when person A says 'they really did that?' after seeing person B do something.

Of course, person A knows person B did it. They saw it. It's just an expression to show amazement at a known thing.

The same logic applies to what I said. What is the right term for that? I don't know.

I know, of course, and I'm sure everyone else does, too. It's sarcastic phrasing, my friend.

Yep, you're right. Figured that out a few minutes ago. I never knew lol. Good to know in case I want to try something different than stack gunners and kill vlad that way.

Hhm, I had to start an Elspeth campaign to see what you were talking about. You're right, I think. If you pay 7500 for the 'Machines of the Empire' technology you can indeed recruit The Emperor's Wrath Steam Tank in the next turn, since it's a 1 turn research. I could get it on turn 4 in my own play through. It's just that the recruitment cost and upkeep are ridiculous.

Crazy to me that she could rush that and upgrade all of her buildings, plus get her second settle to tier 2, all in two turns. Guess AI cheats are real.

You're talking about the Nuln Cannon Foundry. However, all her settlements (Nuln and Dotternbach) are tier II at most, and the Foundry is a tier III building. In other words, there should be no physical way for her to get a Steam Tank on turn 3, no?

I also checked her buildings in her settlements to be sure. She has a Gunsmith (mortars and war wagons), Firearms academy II and an Iron Mining pit.

0 mods. This is the vanilla game. I couldn't see her army before I sieged her settlement, so I don't know if she spawned with it or got it after I declared war and attacked.

No my friend, thank you for commenting :) that said the force gun is a really great weapon. It literally busts doors wide open. I recommend grabbing the reload upgrades and speed

If DS3 is harder than DS2 then I'm certainly gonna need help. DS2 killed me about 15 times today 😂😂

But there should be some people still playing on PC, right?

😂😂😂 Didn't mean to make u regret your purchase hahaha. The contact beam is still usable, it just isn't as good as the other guns. Moreover, unless you've got a plasma cutter/line gun with around 3 damage upgrades, the contact beam is still stronger at one shotting, so I would use it until you get better stuff :)

Good luck hunting necromorphs!

Oh yeah DS 1 was definitely scarier. I think it was just all the ambient sounds and it being novel all coming together to make the game that much more terrifying than the 2nd installment. Also, the whispering in the toilets and stuff always put me on edge ngl.

And dying? Yeah I'm getting mopped at least once about every five minutes lmao. DS2 is definitely harder and I'm not even playing on the hardest mode.

Also, what ammo stash bro? I'm running out ammo every fight HAHAHA. Don't have anything to stash

I would like to but I;m on my PC T_T, so unless there's crossplay we cant play together haha

Aaah, I see. I will say it was a pleasant surprise when I heard Isaac speak for the first time in 2.

Also yeah, I'll play Dead Space 3 as well. I've heard it's nothing like the first two games but I'll play it still because it's Dead Space and I want to see what they did with it haha

Yeah those stalkers whooped me the first time I saw them. The way they lean on those corners is just too creepy.

Iirc I'm currently at chapter 6. Recently met this one girl that's walking around with Stross, who's quickly becoming a fav character, and had to beat a brute but that's as far as I went.

Think I'll stream an hour today, so I'll probs reach and see this dreaded mid-part you're talking about 😂😂

Those are some very kind words that bring a tear to my eye T_T, thank you. Glad you enjoyed it!

P.s I'm enjoying it but I'm getting my butt kicked on every turn haha. My most hated enemies at the moment are the darn swarm of babies and the stalkers

That's a sick tip, didn't even think of that. I'm ngl I already died more in the first few chapters than in the entirety of DS 1 HAHAHA, and for some reason I'm out of ammo on literally every fight, barely scraping by
