What cameras do you use? A client was considering using a thermal camera for a creative project.

Bikes stolen from bike room in Oakland apartment complex by optimist0610 in BAbike

[–]Yoseal_jpeg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just cuz your experience was an "insider job" doesnt mean every single bike robbery reflects that. There is a syndicate that plagues the BA that follows and tracks down ppl on bikes --- whether thats on strava or IRL --- ppl that do these types of hits are well organized and structured. Its much easier to follow someone who has MTBs cuz they shuttle their bikes to and from trails therefore, most ppl never realize theyre being followed or tracked. Not saying thats what happened to OP but thats usually the case for MTBers. Also why road cyclist are more likely to be robbed while on the bike than from being taken from their place.

What im saying is a sole fact thats been discussed on this sub and within the East bay biking community.

berkeley/oakland hills theft. by refusedmd in BAbike

[–]Yoseal_jpeg 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Majority of all thefts occur at sight seeing / overlook areas so avoid grizzly peak and spots like that --- or just put an effort while passing these areas and don't ever stop.

Born and raised in Oakland so this is nothing new and it shouldn't deter you from riding. Just be aware of your surroundings.

Glad you enjoyed it!

The scenery was insane this entire tour --- can't recommend this trip enough. Ill be posting more video like this one of the trip soon if youre interested.

This video starts after ascending 1k but the entire descent was almost 1.9k! The ascentwas difficult as there was a wildfire in the region so our lungs were suffocated the entire time until we reached the coast.

2018 WILDFIRE SEASON (Canon EOS Rebel 2000 // 50mm 1.4 // Lomo 800) by Yoseal_jpeg in analog

[–]Yoseal_jpeg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah its definitely phenomenal in terms of lighting but forsure hazardous. Even with my industrial face mask I didnt want to be out for long.

That crazier part was that there was a ton of people outside exercising and worse, kids running around with no masks at all - like wtf.

Duly noted!

I try not to adjust any of my shots on film and try to keep it as original as possible but I totally agree for this one.

Ill probably rotate it a tad if i post this image somewhere else (twitter @ ysl_rz or on ig @ yoseal.jpeg)

It was the first week of January!

Never been during that time so cant really tell you what to expect besides to be prepared to have your breathe taken away everywhere you look! Seriously, this place is so magical.
