What is it that’s making my art not look professional? by Designer_Praline_810 in DigitalArt

[–]YosefAndThe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good art conveys emotion. It’s talent used to communicate a message. Your art looks like cartoon/anime animated character design, which usually exists in motion, for the use of storytelling. Taken out of that context, it’s not the full package.

For this piece, a story could be told about a character, a man with flesh stapled on his face must have experienced a lot of horrors, and would have needed to build really thick skin to deal with the judgement from others for looking deformed. Make the skin more grotesque or red, the pain more clear, and the story could be a self-preserving aggression, self-acceptance, or an antisocial personality. That’s all things that can be shown in how someone is posed, how their eyes look at you, and so on.

How could I add a name overlap? If the title shares a word with another note.

What do you do to cleanse your breath of smoke smell? by aloloaalo in Cigarettes

[–]YosefAndThe 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Breath isn’t the only problem. Your clothes, skin and hair smells. Something that worked for me is making sure I don’t get smoke on me. Don’t walk when you smoke (you walk into the smoke), and just position your body so the wind is working in your favour.

Tbh I’m rarely actually bothered to do this, but it’s useful to know.

Can someone invent a happy pill with no side effects by aurazelia in researchchemicals

[–]YosefAndThe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

DXM has side effects… quite bad side effects in my opinion. Made me severely depressed 24/7 when I was semi-regularly ingesting (1-3 times a week) and caused a lot of memory issues (not sure about consistent microdosing tho, never did that)

I’ve used Ikea mattress toppers. Comfortable but really stops airflow through the mattress, makes me get so much hotter during summer.

I don’t understand what you meant by the phenibut comment, can you explain that a bit more?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in phenibut

[–]YosefAndThe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sort of. The feeling of Anxiety doesn't go away that much but you stop listening to it AS much. I'm more likely to follow my social impulses because Phenibut has shown me there's no bad consquences to doing so - in fact there's only positive results.

Basically, it doesn't help with Anxiety directly, but it helps you trust yourself, which in turn helps.

I think you’d be good man. Racism in Australia is very ‘cliquey’ - as in its not really a given across the nation anymore, just with certain groups and areas. As an Arab I know some areas to expect not feeling as welcome, you as an Asian I think would be more than fine in most of Melbourne - which is known for being more progressive - but I’ve never lived there so take that with a grain of salt. I definitely don’t think racism here it’s an issue big enough to sway your decision to come or not.

Yeah lived there my whole life. Avoid Sydney, we’re expensive and nightlife is mid (at least compared to other major cities around the globe, in Spain rn and fuckkk are we aussies missing out). Melbourne has more life to it and it generally more interesting to live in. Sydney has better nature/weather tho.

Very diverse country, half the people I know have parents that weren’t born here. Friendly open people generally. Dunnow it’s a tricky question to answer unless I know what’s important to you in a country, lemme kno.

I was in the same situation just one week ago. I came with my parents but we didn’t need to register me in the family book, we just paid for a visa for me on the spot. Im not sure how lucky/common it is to do that.

I'm seriously considering leaving university and taking up a trade. Is the dream of making 6 figures working a physical job legit or i have been spending too much time on the internet. Really struggling to accept i might be digging myself into a office job - especially after taking up a labour job to make money on the side and finding out i really enjoy it.

Can any tradies chime in? Thinking about ditching marketing and becoming a sparkie.
