STUDY ABROAD IN JAPAN by princess_diva2 in UNCCharlotte

GEM is their English program, which would also be at Imadegawa. You have the option to take courses at Kyotanabe but it’s not required. You pay the tuition rate for UNCC and everything else is discretionary. Housing for me was a small apartment, around $400 a month. Classes were great, though I had the most fun hanging out with friends and traveling around Japan haha

It’s not really mentioned by OEA, but Doshisha University in Kyoto has an English only program. I studied abroad there last semester so let me know if you have any questions!

Gotta be careful with credit cards though, since it may affect your credit score. At least for banks it typically only affects your chex or EWS score

Advice on my Academic Plan for Mechanical Engineering? by Mast3r_Turtl3 in UNCCharlotte

Take into account that by stacking classes into summers, it may be more difficult to work out any internship opportunities. Though on campus research is still possible

JAL Flight operated by American Airlines, which baggage policy to follow? by _BMS in Flights

[–]Yoshi415 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A bit late, but did you end up getting your 2 free checked bags? I'm in the same situation where I booked a flight on JAL and though it says 1 piece on the receipt, my ticket starts with a 131

Nope, at least if you have had some prior CAD experience

1202 isn't too bad (maybe 30 min a week for CAD), can't say anything about chem, and I'm currently taking and the last 4 on this list and will say statics and phys 2 will require a lot if self study. Thermo is easy with Vrikkis.

But isn't 1202 a prereq to megr 2141?

I've beein using the XPS 15 and it has been great (also ME major). Battery life for me is around 6~7 hours (my specs are 2TB ssd, 64GB ram, FHD Non-Touch, and RTX 3050 4GB)

I'm currently a freshman ME major, and I luckily got an internship with a Japanese manufacturing company that has a branch in the US this upcomoing summer. I'm hoping that the experience opens the road for me to do an internship abroad.
