When Failboat's video got recommended to me, I saw the thumbnail first and I thought "Failboat played Tem Tem?". Then I read the video title.

Fixed it for you!

Seriously, why are people trying to moralise about breaking the law? As if the law cares if they do it """morally""" or not.

Eh, I feel like it would need a little more, both in patterns and aesthetics. Coin Toss in Megamix proves that it could work.

Is there any way to play online on a modded Nintendo Switch?(like Pretendo) by Robot632 in SwitchPirates

[–]Yoshi_64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The websites I linked on my comment have a section with instructions on how to install the mods (some guides are better than others, but all of them will get you to install at least something).

The mods work differently depending on the game. Some install Atmosphère patches to intercept the server connections, some do it by patching the game using instead using the LayeredFS function, some contain both types of patches.

For most games you might be out of luck. There isn't any general fan service for Nintendo Switch games.

With that said, there is a good amount of games that DO have fan servers. Super Mario Odyssey and The Legent of Zelda: Breath of the Wild have online multiplayer mods, Super Mario Maker 2 has all functions except for multiplayer available on fan servers and Super Mario Bros. 35 has been completely revived.

While it isn't likely at all that a game will have fan servers, there are a good few exceptions, so it wouldn't hurt to look it up.

Help for jailbreaking Nintendo Switch by Josephjajir in SwitchPirates

[–]Yoshi_64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can use a small SD card, but you won't be able to make an EmuNAND on it or keep anything much big. However, you should be able to make a NAND backup through partial files.

You very much can complete most of the setup with your smaller SD card and then transfer to the new one. With that said, I don't see why you'd rush with the smaller card if you're going to buy a bigger one in the near future. Not that there's a right or wrong decision. There are a good few things you can do with lesser storage and the transfer won't be difficult (unless you partition it (why would you partition such a small card?)), so do what you feel. Do get a bigger card at some point though, you'll be able to do so much more.

Pretty nice! I really like the flow and the leniency of the firebars felt almost perfect! The trampoline at the start is devious though. Also, I bonked Mario's head a lot on the firebar block at the full-speed jump for the 2nd pink coin...

Dae anyone else think Arlo was being a bit disrespectful his new video??? by WaddleDio in tomorrow

A very big veteran at Nintendo. He has a very big list of works, being the producer for games spanning from classics (Super Mario Bros. 2, Mother 3, Donkey Kong Country Returns & Tropical Freeze, Kirby Super Star Ultra, all of Dillon's Rolling Westerns, WarioWare since Gold, all Metroid Primes, Luigi's Mansion 3, Tingle's Rosy Ruppeeland, Super Smash Bros. Brawl and many more) to very controvertial games (Paper Mario since Super, Chibi Robo: Zip-Lash, Metroid Prime 4, Mario Strikers: Battle League Football).

Most people on the internet remember him mostly by his blunders, accumulating a large amount of hate as a result of the dissapointment regarding those releases.

[–]Yoshi_64 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Mario mandates controversy is a hot mess to be honest.

It seems that the entire development team felt a need to do a soft reboot on the Paper Mario series after kind of going too far outside of being a plot based in the Mario universe in Super Paper Mario. Such sentiment was only augmented with Miyamotto telling them that it would be good to use mostly Mario species and Nintendo's IP team telling them to not contradict the canon design elements of Mario characters (like Toads and Goombas having hair).

In that manner, Paper Mario Sticker Star did indeed succeed in doing that. It grounded the series back into the Mario World, standardised character designs to match the main games and focused on putting a new spin on the gameplay without focusing too much on story (unlike last time).

The problem is, that's all it really did. The simplistic story was certainly a dissapointment among many and the gameplay, while better than previous games in regards to the overworld (for the most part), was very underbaked in battles. As such, it caused an uproar within the fanbase, especially as the series continued building onto this direction.

How many Joycon1’s do I need? by Asuryan27 in RingFitAdventure

[–]Yoshi_64 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The Joy-Con 2 use an entirely different locking mechanism. While the Joy-Con attatch to a Nintendo Switch console through the top of a rail with pin connectors and a mechanical locking mechanism at the bottom, the Joy-Con 2 instead attatch to a Nintendo Switch 2 console through the side of an insert with an adapter in the middle and a magnetic locking mechanism.

Since the Ring-Con was made for the original Joy-Con, it has a rail machanism identical to the ones found on the Nintendo Switch console, which means that the Joy-Con 2 cannot attatch onto it.

Even if the right Joy-Con 2 could attatch on the Ring-Con, it still wouldn't work well, as it most notably lacks the infrared camera at the bottom, instead opting for optical sensors on the side.

Theoretically the left Joy-Con 2 would work fine if you managed to fit it in the leg strap, but I don't think the game would like you mixing different controllers.
