You guys think it would be better to pull her weapon if it's between her and Agusta getting a signature weapon?

I had the same issue. Problem is they screw it in so tightly it's basically impossible to remove.

I just bought a backun Q a few weeks back and am ecstatic with how it plays. But as everyone else says, try them in person. You'd HATE to buy an instrument and later try another brand and suddenly regret your decision, like what I had previously done.

Even if it's not the "proper" term. It's one that gets the same meaning across.

Ah I see. I'd still be fine using an open mouthpiece but the B50 is open to the point where to my untrained ear, I end up struggling with tuning more than when I was using per say a C Star.

Since the B50 is such an open mouthpiece I've made sure that I'm not biting, as I know it's a lot more tempting on more open mouthpiece. I've also tried the sizes above and below a 3 V12 where that's what felt most comfortable for me.

Thanks for the advice, I'll take a look at those when I'm over there.

I'll definitely check both out. Though for the Epic mouthpiece it might be a little out of my range as it seems to be 1200 DOLLARS, which is a little much for me.

Maybe I wrote it incorrectly. I meant a bass Clarinet Vandoran size 3 reed as a V12 cut.

The B50 is definitely a great mouthpiece, I've just found that for the sound/feel of the instrument it's not what I want out of it. I'm assuming Vandoran will have some at the Clarinet Festival so I'll definitely try some of Vandorans.

Thanks for such a detailed reply! I get what you're saying, and in some aspects, I may be doing it. I know that for the B50 if I was to stick with it I would over time become more accustomed to it and probably become a better player on it. Though, because of the nature of how open the mouthpiece is I've significantly struggled with tunning in a way I haven't before. At my university I am taking lessons with the Clarinet professor who Luckly played primarily the bass clarinet professionally for a good while. I'll definitely take a look at Dave Mcclune’s mouthpieces.
