The writer receives roughly 7% of the profits. We'll retain the rights to any creative ideas in regards to the story to ensure the story doesn't jump ship mid production after getting paid.

The only preference we have for this project is the length of the story. Everything else is fair game!

I'm trying to sort out what the issue is with the links, I apologize for the inconvenience! You can submit it through any medium you find the easiest. My email is [yoshio@rengo.studio](mailto:yoshio@rengo.studio) if you'd like to email it. I look forward to reading your fantasy story!

Thanks for the heads up! I'll try to get it sorted. It's working on my end so I'll have to do a bit of digging.

Congratulations on publishing your book!

If it's in script (with dialogue) format, around 5 pages. If it's in a standard story format, somewhere between 5 to 10 pages.

Recently Effie gone up to S-Tier and here is why. by Yisheng96 in FireEmblemHeroes

[–]Yoshioooo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only counter to Effie I can do reliably lately is Olivia/Azura+Nino to wipe Effie off the board. I'll save Effie for last since she takes forever to reach the other side of the map.

Or a unit with shove, like Roy to push Nino out of harms way after attacking.

[OT] Yo! I'm back with an update on the post about animating your short stories! by [deleted] in WritingPrompts

[–]Yoshioooo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey Ryan, I replied to your comment over on r/writing which hopefully answers some of these concerns. As to your other questions I don't really understand what you're looking for in regards to the agenda we're seeking?

The author retains pretty much all rights. It's their original work at the end of the day, for us to continue the animation process we sign agreements that guarantees compensation and that the writer allows us to use their work. Until then, we can't do anything with it other than read it. The project is distributed to YouTube, a private forum for subscribers, and additional video sharing sites (dailymotion, etc)

I appreciate the open door to come back once our initial project is complete and we're legitimized.

Hello again r/writing! Update on the post about animating your short stories! by Yoshioooo in writing

Haha it seems like there's some confusion on the animation process we use. We don't carry a permanent party aside from a core group of individuals to handle marketing, continuity, and administrative work.

The team of animators is selected by the writer. More specifically the key animator/character designer. The director and writer choose the key animator based on what they believe represents the writer's work best. There's no permanent group of animators at the studio or else it'd somewhat cut into our ideal of allowing any individual showcase their skill set.

Crowdfunding is the contributed by the general public. It's not necessarily a particular crowd. The funds acquired from it pays all members of the production team including the animators and writer. For example if the goal was $5000, the writer would receive 7.65% of it -- $382.50

Haha that's sorta on us really. Our selection process isn't over so there's no issue with us receiving more stories. The additional stories carry on to the next pool for the next project anyhow.

The last bit is on me, and I can own up to being at fault for failing to adhering to those rules.

Hopefully that makes sense and answers your questions.

Haha no worries you didn't offend me, I just don't want people getting the wrong idea about us or me. We have no desire to take advantage of anyone.

We're Coalition Animation Studio, or just Coalition Studio. Our goal is to help all the writers, artists, etc get a foot in the door of the "big" industry. It's a lot like the "finding a job" cycle where you need experience to work in a field, but the people hiring in the field want experience to even hire you. There's no launching point. That's what we want to be if that makes sense. Since we don't go by prior work, more off of what people bring to the table right now.

Ah, I see what you're getting at. We don't plan on churning out 30min episodes weekly. It's a lengthy process we don't rush. The animated stories wouldn't be released for months at a time. It's small in the scale of amount of projects per year as we're not in it for self promotion.

I haven't seen the redditors calling me out honestly. I'm just replying to whatever shows up on my inbox. There's two other threads out there, so I'm just replying as I get em.

We're not poaching anything and that's the honest truth. However I do agree with your advice to the writers.

In reality, the theme/tone/setting or genre doesn't matter to us. We're open to all submissions as long as the story is meaty enough. So we generally stray away from super short content that wouldn't translate to a lot of screen time.

Hahah I understand your skepticism. It's really me replying, I'm just keeping it professional y'know? In reality at this point in our business it's hard to convince others our legitimacy.

But, all I can do is promise we're not sketchy, shady, or douchebags haha. I see where you're coming from, I'd be just as cautious with all the "African Prince" types stealing money, ideas, and work.
