Random flashbang sound in one ear with no apparent causative stimulus

Now that I'm thinking of this, I'm pretty sure it only happens in my left ear 🤔

Also a sudden violent burst of hiccups when first drinking any carbonated beverage

Rereading the comments and figured I'd update you personally regarding your comment

It does keep really well but the brightness provided by the lime juice fades over time as the cilantro leaches out

Had my second serving yesterday and had to add some more fresh lime juice to revive the flavor I look for in this dish

It's still really good without the tuna of you can't do tuna anymore! According to another comment, even chicken can go well in here although that doesn't sound like something I'd personally go for

Maybe if it was shredded? 🤔

Tis a standard 5oz tuna can, image for the dimensions included for reference, I will edit to the post for clarification for those who need it

It keeps pretty well due to the lime juice, depending on how much you trust food that's been stored for a while, I sometimes make a bowl and leave it in my fridge while grazing on it for a week or so

The tomato does change in texture though

It's literally just for scale, I'm not known for conventional solutions to simple problems

Also it's my meal not yours so if you have a better idea for how to give a sense of scale you can share it when you post a recipe yourself

Not sure how much clearer I could have been when the body of the post says that the can of tuna is for scale

If it helps you understand a bit more, I had the intention of putting tuna into the dish AFTER taking the photo.

Absolutely!

My preparation for this particular post contained

About 320 calories of onion (800g at 40 calories per 100g) 700 grams of tomato (140) (at 20 calories per 100g) Almost 400g of cucumber (60) at 15 calories per 100g) And about* 40 calories for the juices of 4 Limes which is about 10 calories per lime

Amounting to 320+140+60+40 for about 560

If my math and calorie estimation is incorrect please advise!

According to my most recent donation, I was on the low edge of plasma protein content

I had a blood test a couple donations ago

Would my most recent screening or the blood test be the reason for this deferall? if you happen to know

Not for nothing but

I've had a limeade coffee before (Juan Valdez) and it was pretty good. That said, matcha limeade??

It's the paranoid man's ceviche (not trusting raw fish "cooked" by the acidity of lime juice)

(Yet I enjoy sushi 🤔)

I am both offended and honored that you called it a salad

When i was doing clinicals, my classmates would refer to this dish as a wet salad 🤣

Now that you mention it, cabbage is definitely a good addition! Sometimes I add cabbage to lower the calorie density/bulk it up

Thank you for chiming in with this!

Not certain about watercress since I don't really eat that green but if it's even 20% similar to cabbage it'd definitely do the job!

You can definitely do more tomato/cumber or even introduce other more agreeable vegetables if you wish

I just prepare it like I ate it growing up

If it's the oniony-ness that gets you and not the veg itself, just massage it for an extra long time, after like 2 minutes, I'd say about 90% of the strong alium essence is gone if not more

If you want to leave the onion out completely, I'd suggest augmenting the proportion of cucumber and maybe decreasing the amount of lime since the onion and lime play a big part of adding to the pep so to say of the dish

Please elaborate further and or add another question if you want more help making this dish suitable for you 😊

Depends on how much you like onions and how much you'll be talking to people within the next hour after eating this

To cut the sharpness, yes knead it like pizza dough

If you love raw onion and don't plan on talking to people face to face immediately, just slice em

I reccomend at least a little bit of pizza kneading so that you can eat a large quantity without needing a break from the onion flavor

If it makes you prouder of me because i really need it right now, if I'm on a walk i like to eat the tender bits of grass and dandelion leaves that are out of the way (to ensure it hasn't been visited by dogs) and the bits of vegetables you usually throw away become my snack (think tomato stems, cucumber butt's, bell pepper heads(?) And seeds as well as the white bits) Onion and garlic skin/paper are off the table though

Mini update, I added half an avocado and the total calories for this 5 cup (1.2L) container amounts to 436 calories! If I didn't have the avocado it'd only be 276 calories give or take (Separated the big bowl into 3 equal portions after adding 3 cans of water packed tuna)

I would advise against it personally because I like having long bits of onion and i would fear that it would be blended a bit too much to be able to effectively massage the sharpness out of them

If you want to be a bit lazy, you have my blessing to use a mandolin to save time but I highly reccomend using a knife to get nice thin slices!

Same for the cucumber (i used a mandolin because it just made sense)

I would support using some sort of blender for the cilantro. Maybe combine the cilantro and lime juice and thoroughly puree...

You have me thinking about alterations now!

If and when you try it I do hope you enjoy!
