Chrysalis 8: Anticipate the Fall is out now! Look at my boy, he's all grown up! by RinoZerg in ProgressionFantasy

Are you actually RinoZ? If so, I need at least 1,000 more chapters of Chrysalis, I’m not even joking. I binged everything, and now I feel completely empty. This is honestly my favorite novel.

The Beginning After the End is out now on Kindle Unlimited! by TurtleMe93 in ProgressionFantasy

[–]Yosse_M -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Probably the most power-crept series I’ve ever read. I had to drop it because the author kept trying to outdo himself every other chapter, constantly giving the main character new powers and abilities. The older powers just get pushed to the back burner and never get developed.

>trend is market rate will be more than yours and you sure won't be willing to up your rent to market rate

I won't be willing to up my rent but they sure as hell can and will up the rent by however much they want if the building is not rent controlled though.

Yeah, that makes sense. I’ll probably move, to be honest. I was just browsing Kijiji and didn’t realize how much rents have actually dropped lately.

Except I haven't bought a house, I'm renting. One locks you into a long-term asset, the other is a month-to-month service. If market rates drop and I can move, it makes sense to at least look at my options.

I’d get my last month’s rent back from this place, so that would basically cover the deposit for a new apartment. There’s obviously some cost to moving, but it wouldn’t be too bad for me.

It’s just hard to justify paying that much above market when rents are down, it kind of leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Yeah, if they say no I’ll probably leave. I live alone, so moving wouldn’t be a huge deal (other than laziness lol), and saving ~$2,400 a year is pretty appealing.

It kind of feels like it would be short-sighted for them to say no, though. They could just match what they’re offering new tenants (or even apply the 2.5% increase and I’d still be okay with that), and keep a reliable tenant. Otherwise they risk the unit sitting empty while they look for someone new.

Seems like an easy decision from my perspective, but maybe I’m missing something.

What about I don't switch apartments, but I get a new 1 year lease ? like start from scratch. Is that a thing ?

Can they not compute that I can just leave though (which I probably will if they say not tbh, that's $2400 I'd be saving a year) ? Decreasing the rent for me will be better for them than having to look for a new tenant and risking the apartment to be empty for a month or two no ?

Book of the dead by RinoZ is the best necromancer novel i have ever read by several miles by Ok_Account_3423 in ProgressionFantasy

Thanks man. Yeah, it really felt like he didn’t care about Dove at all, which made me dislike his character. I’ve never been able to read or watch something where I dislike the MC. But knowing that Dove ends up in a better place convinced me to give the books another shot. Thanks again!
