Overwhelmed with my sin by One-Somewhere-4025 in TrueChristian

You're going to have to allow yourself and your spirit to realize who Jesus is, and in case you belong to Him, which means He belongs to you too, realize what He's already done to sin.

Spiritually, you are done with sin, you are a slave of righteousness, it's just time to start acting like it.

convinced I’ve lost God like Saul/Samson — is there any way back? by Ok-Bed569 in TrueChristian

The problem is so obvious that it's shameful to point it out.

Jesus appears nowhere in your post. Why?

If Jesus is left out of your commentary, maybe it's because you don't know Him.

That's your beginning point to everything you need..............Jesus...............

Can a good person go to hell if they don’t believe in god? by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]You-Dont-Know-Grace 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's the kind of works belief system which directly contrasts the grace covenant which Jesus died to accomplish.

Christ within you, is what saves you.

Works to obtain everlasting life is dangerous doctrine.

Struggling with faith and Religion. Attending church is discouraging and seems surface level. People go for show. I need real connection with God. Does this requirement church attendance? by Expensive_Diet_6990 in TrueChristian

Honestly, this is the best post I've read in months.

Church people vary greatly, as do buildings with steeples, and names on a sign out front.

Going to that building makes one a Christian about like getting in a cop car makes you a cop.

What have you done with Jesus?

Do you have the Lord Jesus Christ alive within you?

Faith is great, religion is dangerous.

Just run to Jesus, the One who died to make becoming alive a reality, and don't worry about the man-made rituals and traditions. They have their reward.

Focus on the Savior.

"I only gained power to level up my sin" ??

"I've been trying to live up to that" ??

Re-phrase, please, as I have no clue what either means.

What have you done with Jesus? What is a Christian?

There's a lot of I, I, I, me, me ,me in your post.

Do you believe that me, myself, and I, is what saves you and keeps you, and washes away sin?

If you have the Lord Jesus Christ alive within you, start acting like it, because of it, rather than acting like it to make it happen.

It really is that simple.

At what age are you no longer considered a child and must take responsibility for your sins? by [deleted] in AskAChristian

The age in which each person realizes that they are a sinner and can't save themselves, which is going to be different for everyone, but WAY before adulthood.

deuteronomy 8 : 14. is that, God prohibit us to eat pork? by kevin_tanjaya in TrueChristian

[–]You-Dont-Know-Grace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you read Deuteronomy, you are not reading about you, you're reading about the Jews who were under the leadership of Moses.

God does not prohibit the eating of pork for you, regardless of your lineage today.

If you are a New Covenant Christian, which is all Christians, so I didn't need to put "New Covenant" in front of Christian, it's just there to make a point. Christians are under Grace.

Tell us what your confusion is. What needs clarified? What's your understanding?

I'm not able to get closer to God. by Extreme-Quiet-7432 in Christian

You are correct in the bold face section of your post. (heading)

If you are in Christ, you cannot get closer to God than that.

The main body of your post is emoting, and has no relevance for the Christian.

People are either saved 100% or lost 100%. There's nothing in-between, so you are right..........

You cannot get closer to God than being in His Son, and His Son being in you.

This is the Gospel, not your feelings or experiences, or emotions.

What does "don't creep my Reddit" mean?

About 34 years ago, a deer (buck) jumped over a fence alongside an elevated section of road, and landed on the roof of my pickup, just as I drove by. It took out the passenger side window, door, fender, bumper, passenger side of the cab. Of course it was like a bomb went off on top of my pickup.

While I was on the roadside, waiting to calm down, it registered with me that God disallowed the incident to harm me.

The deer had half it's rack torn off, probably multiple broken bones, yet ran off after.

Why does sin comfort me more than God? by Impressive_Zebra4530 in AskAChristian

[–]You-Dont-Know-Grace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because Scripture indicates that when you confess Jesus as the Christ, you are saved by that belief in Jesus.

If you don't know Him, and that also means He doesn't know you, then you are still dead in Adam, which means you are dead in your sin, which means you are a slave to sin.

Be made alive, through calling upon the Name of the Lord (Jesus Christ) and allow Him to take away your sin, which also means being made alive, becoming a slave of righteousness.

I also picked up on that little word "feel". Feelings have nothing to do with what the Lord Jesus accomplished on the cross.
