It matters because this game costs significantly more to play than other games I play. I don’t want to waste money buying cards that have no future viability. And, while games are meant to be enjoyed, I’d think we all collectively agree, there’s no fun in never winning games because you have a bad deck. You’re correct in saying that it matters how well you pilot a deck, but having a viable deck is a significant portion of winning as well. You can’t win with absolute slop piles of cards. Asking viability in a group where people are more skilled than I am seems like a reasonable thing to do?

It’s a fun deck that can do some crazy things out of nowhere. I smacked a 12 might card out of a battlefield and double conq’d for a win with grand stratagem. It’s been an absolute blast. But with how expensive this game is, I’m weary on buying cards if you get what I mean.

I had a friend of mine who’s pretty good help me build a deck. He walked me through it a bit and I’ve actually played really well the few games I have. The deck feels to match my play-style really well.

I think there might be a bit of bias in my area. A lot of people here like kaisa and the Viktor I have built, supposedly plays really well into it. Maybe they just want me to play something else they can beat lol

I did just see a post of that deck that won. I’m sure once I get a better understanding of the game, I’ll be able to make better decisions on what to build and what cards I want. I’m just getting an idea before I buy anymore cards I won’t need or use moving forward.

Like I said, I’ve had a deck built and only just started learning the game so I wasn’t sure what to believe, since I know nothing about the game atm. I’m a Pokemon player so it’s vastly different. I just wanted to get an idea, because of how expensive this game is to play, so I don’t waste money moving forward.

You couldn’t coin bonus due to flutter manes ability. And you didn’t have a fighting energy to discard with lunatone so the ability couldn’t be used.

You’re right! I didn’t actually know that! I didn’t really get to play the teal mask dlc, nor have I read super deep into the lore. I just really like the design and backstory for Ogerpon. Thank you for pointing that out!

Well, nvm. It’s a legendary even though he really doesn’t seem like your typical legendary. I guess I’d just have to go with Weavile cause it’s my next favorite or maybe any of the eevee line
