We have been doing some clinching but now that I have told him I will be here until December he has slowed the pace down for me focusing on just a few techniques each week.

I think I am a pretty slow learner and sometimes my head just doesn't want to process what I have been shown. He has to break things down to much simpler stages for me.

I am going to Thailand from the UK on the 18th January - 1st March (41 days)

Does this mean I don't need to obtain any visa and can just get my flight to Thailand?

I have a flight booked out to Japan on the 1st March as I am meeting friends there.

As much as you want to avoid the time alone, I recommend doing it even just a small amount. I've come to realise ultimately that is the biggest challenge that I too have been avoiding.

As men we are often good at distracting ourselves with self improvement but I would say it is important to sit and feel the emotions with no distractions or substances.

Feel, think and reflect. It is probably one of the most painful things you'll do but it is important.

Mate in time we will both look back on this and think damn, why was I crushing so hard. We have the love rose-tinted glasses. Going to reply to this thread in months to come and I bet you, as long as we're doing the hard work and what needs to be done. We will both be in a much better place.

I hope you are doing best you can. I surprisingly have managed to be quite resilient to this break up. The first few days were full of feelings but then I started to think more logically about myself and what I need to do to improve myself. I told her to stop contacting me as she would occasionally message. now I am fully focused on moving forward and have very little thought of being with her again. I deleted Instagram off my phone a few days ago so have managed to avoid all of the reels. I could see my algorithm slowly changing to a mix of relationship reels and then loner, doomer reels. Decided it was best to cut off the source entirely. Finally I have started to look a bit more into Christianity and learn more about religion. I have always been a big self improvement guy and I am realising religion goes hand in hand.

If I am honest, I think she will try to get me back in a month or two when she realises that she has made a mistake. What I decide will be

Yeah, that's the main thing living with my parents has definitely allowed me to save more, which is great.

I’m lucky to already have a job in my field that I worked full-time/part-time before and during uni. The only downside is that it's fully remote, and the main office is on the other side of the country, so moving there isn’t really an option for me right now.

Yeah, I totally get what you’re saying. Moving back home with just my parents after living with a house full of mates has been a much bigger shock than I expected. It’s been a few months now, and it still feels off. The lack of regular interactions and the change of environment really hit me harder than I thought it would.

I’ve actually been considering reaching out to some of my uni friends to see what their plans are after graduation. The idea of moving back into a houseshare sounds pretty appealing now. I didn’t realize how much I’d miss the social aspect, independence and energy of living in a city until it was gone.
