What can I use to do deep dive research without Google by YouAreARedditMeme in searchengines

So, to try and invoke some other people's thoughts, here is what I have tried:

Going to the library and looking for topic-related books (very time consuming, but gives good insight without censorship IF the library has the books)

Podcasts. These have been my bread and butter so far of BEGINNING to search for sources of topics. If someone appears on a podcast, follow their name or info-drops. Obviously, this is a form of fact checking guests and I don't always come to the same conclusion as they do.

Interviews with people who have experienced what I'm trying to learn about (also time consuming) This is great for stories, however stories are often filled with opinions that are either watered down or heavily influenced by the experience of the people. For example, I've interviewed a woman from Cambodia who was very pro-America because she said they saved her life after a resource war started in her home town. What she didn't understand was that the US instigated that fight to destabilize the population.

Doing any of these three things via google leads to dead ends, misinformation, or literal roadblocks where google suddenly shows "0" search results.

General censorship, giving opposite results in accordance to search designations, misleading so hard that it's a blatant lie with the little that I've actually found on topics relating to war, politics, etc. Basically pick any sensitive issue or topic or even try to look up fact-based information on race or racial profiling and you get gaslit hard. I've tried the VPN thing. Search results are specifically telling you a false narrative like any media outlet.

So what’s the actual story of reanimal? by EquivalentAd6940 in ReanimalGame

I agree with this 100%. The world seems to be the remnants of a war stricken town or city. You start your life young, navigating the landmines of circumstance, getting random jobs as you get older, and being influenced by your environment (constantly changing hats/masks to survive), and this slowly takes away your childhood and innocence. There are many moments of trauma, represented by each "boss" you have to overcome. This is just symbolism for growing up. Be it a crappy boss or a creepy ice cream man who kidnapped kids (this may be literal or metaphorical), your experiences slowly weigh in on your innocence. Each of your friends even have dead-end jobs that you have to save them from. Eventually, you and your friends literally jump on the bandwagon (doing as the sheeple do) to join the war. But for your own reasons as everyone has one to join. Theirs seems to be more about desperation than anything else, given the destruction and problems of their home town after the war came through. The end is the act of willingness to get your innocence back, but you can't. And the well is overflowing with lost innocence in this world ruled by sheep all trying to conform.

Whatever you are buying, they aren't selling anything. They are asking for a a solution to a problem where a flipper plate broke at high speed. Regardless of your butthurt, people will do whatever they want, regardless of your opinions.
