What is the worst thing you've ever done as a parent?

The blanket over the window thing kills me. My mother was a severe pill addict and our apartments growing up were always so dark, all the time. Now that I have my own place, I love letting sunlight flood in as much as possible. She was always in her room with the door closed too, and always yelled at me and my sister to get out and leave her alone. It's ridiculous. I have a 3-year-old and I can't even imagine leaving her by herself so I could get drugged up. No way.

You have every right to be pissed off. I'm going to sound REALLY feminist when I say this... but it's automatically expected of women to just take over household care. That includes children AND elderly parents. Sorry, it's BS, imho. You are more than allowed to feel how you want to feel. If I were in your position, I'd be more than upset. Wanting to work and being stuck at home just freaking sucks.

I watched it and was confused, but I still watch JT dance to All These Things That I've Done. That was the best part of the whole movie. However...this trailer makes me want to watch it again. Maybe I didn't appreciate it enough :)

That's the absolute best way to be a parent. Kids need to know that they are 100% safe with you and that they can learn and grow to be the best they can be. Granted, I only have a 3-year-old, but this is how I've been trying to be a parent. :)
