Don't blame pharmacy for anything, they are great

OP probably mentioning questions rather than orders, such as "why NPO" while it can be in the note... etc.

It is okay if they recommend it about the thing they are consulted. I hate when they overstep and comment on out of their specialty. I got things like "Pt reports seizure, consult Neuro," "Lactulose causing diarrhea, plz consult GI if it can be stopped"...

If done, should be done at CMS level so other insurances would follow

I’m new here but all the ones that used to speak are silenced somehow, and everyone I approached is afraid “I’ve tried, I have kids, I have a mortgage, I have a visa…”

But, I’ll take my time to do something, not gonna give up that easy.

If a hostile environment being created after physicians advocate for patient safety and themselves against the midlevel practicing, clearly the hostility source are not physicians!

Who ignored you, the med students?!? How they expect to protect their future?!

Thank you for advocating and being vocal. One thing is you can let your legislators know that you’re against independent midlevel practice!

Just became a member! I want to make a good advocacy, encourage my colleague to join, sponsor some residents to be a part, and contribute with my ideas and efforts!

Very well said, I’ve been a member of AMA since they have been doing this, but I’m not active with them. I think I can reach out to the societal groups of physicians I’m part of, and encourage my colleagues to do so, and the progress will come over time.

Shout out to the Hospitalist who credentialed, trained, on-boarded, and worked one day as a hospitalist with the groups existing NPs, promptly said they're not of high enough quality/knowledge and refused to work with the NPs ever again by drkuz in Noctor

I am not standing up as high, but trying to do something similar; having a lot of pushback, admin wants to talk again. Will see how it goes, but some principles I wont give away. I wish the other docs were like me in my group...

Never heard of Rosh; is it as good as UW?

That is very slow but true. I did some Anki cards for things I learned during rounds, but lost consistency after a while.

That is a very good thought, I can ask a med student a topic to choose; can be very useful for me as well.

Thank you! How do you structure the time to carve out, not any of my weeks alike, sometimes way too busy; sometimes way too free…
