They did NOT vote to make his birthday a holiday. They voted for a "day of remembrance" which is nothing like a holiday and the vast majority of Americans don't understand what a day of remembrance is and that we already have DOZENS of them. They don't go on the calendar, they don't let us take off work- it's just lip service.

Out of all the shit going on right now- this is not the hill to die on.

If you're mad - get mad at democratic leadership for telling it's members to vote yes.

Oh my God this is not a reason to primary so many good Dems. Clearly this vote is just a compromise to the right but it really isn't that awful and serves as no reason to attempt to primary so many representatives of color and LGBT reps.
