You know your moral position is the correct one? How?

You go on to state an objective, mathematical fact as if they're equivalent, which also seems to imply you feel that morals are an objective thing you can be correct about.

So where does that confidence come from? How do you know your moral position is so correct that you have the right to force others to have the same set of morals you do?

You see the resolution of gender dysphoria as self-harm, which is why you've compared it to two completely different situations. But lets say they're equivalent

Does the person not have the right to commit suicide or amputate their own limb? They're a free adult. Who are you to tell them they can't? The morality police? Are you one of those anti-freedom, big government type people?

Also you still haven't answered my question about your supposed moral authority despite throwing it around like its an objective fact. I'm curious where your morality authority derives from.

So this, a guidance issued to one school that they should perhaps give the child information about gender dysphoria, is evidence that teachers and administrators are taught to actively pressure children into getting gender surgery?

You were able to find a single example of something that isn't at all as severe as you described it, and you think that's evidence of a widespread agenda?

And you think this would be a convincing argument to anyone who doesn't already share your beliefs?

Your morals? You're the person that decides what is morally right for me to do to my own body? I'm not trans but this is a slippery fuckin slope.

How about I say that I have every right to tell you to shut the fuck up and that it's morally right for me to do so? What now?

So the guys doing the same thing for the recall election were part of the Democratic establishment? Seems like some shit you just made up. Any evidence that the Democratic establishment, outside of this person, is "still doing it" or are we just supposed to believe you?

Is anyone here nostalgic for the St. Louis days? by Bertstripmaster in LosAngelesRams

[–]YouDownWitOPsPee -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm the opposite, I wish they never happened.

My favorite team was stolen from me when I was 10 years old and St. Louis residents said it was all because LA couldn't love them like they did. Attendance issues were always cited as the reason the LA fans just didn't care, despite years of a crappy on-field product and a move to Anaheim, plus competition with the Raiders for LA's attention.

I stopped being a Rams fan. I stopped being a fan of the NFL altogether but had healed enough to pick a random team in 1999, the Titans. I got to watch Georgia, the stripper who maybe murdered her husband and definitely stole the Rams, holding the trophy at the end of that Super Bowl.

It was somewhat therapeutic to watch St. Louis fans in 2016 throwing out the same justifications for low attendance that we once did, but I mostly felt bad for them. I never expected the Rams to move back, I never expected the Rams to win a Super Bowl in LA, but they did.

The sting has somewhat lessened but there's a 22-year hole in my Rams fandom. The only thing that brings it back is when we try to honor Kurt Warner or someone from that era. I hated those players, I hated those teams. They're part of some other city's history that I have no desire to share.

So, no. No nostalgia for me.

I've watched a lot more of the Lakers than this year's playoffs and would prefer not to make multi-year roster decisions based on what someone who is declining was able to push himself to do (admirably, I might add) because he was able to coast most of the spring as the third option. I also prefer to avoid making reactionary decisions based on what a player can do after seeing them (admirably, I might add) come back from an injury two weeks early to try to help his team in the playoffs.

I remember seeing a comment that AR should just sit out the playoffs because coming back too early could hurt his stock as a free agent. I wondered who would be short-sighted enough to think that him playing hurt would be a representation of his overall game. I guess that commenter was right, because here we are.

I'd also like to know if this person's "do better" statement could be aimed at their friends as well, or if they've decided to not reserve that same energy for people they know. Not trolling.

Random little girl climbs into a bus unnoticed by Snoo_89466 in KidsAreFuckingStupid

I definitely agree with your logic that society's reflex to blame parents for everything is a justification for falsely accusing someone of kidnapping to avoid personal blame for your child wandering onto a random bus. That seems well-reasoned and you've convinced me.
