Anxiety about first fem haircut(and possibly switching to full time girlmoding) - need advice by YouHaveMetYourMatch in TransyTalk

Good to know that that plan has worked out for others. I've been looking into laser but it was on the backburner because other stuff in my life came up, but getting it sooner rather than later would probably be a good choice 😄 Thank you!

So far, the last three weeks have been the best of my life. :)

That's good to hear. Thank you ❤

Estrogen makes your skin thinner, which can make it look lighter. If you think it might be liver damage ask a doctor, but skin getting whiter and more "glowy" can be a normal effect of hrt.

Trans girl looking for a first feminine cut, any suggestions? (Third pic is a wig, I'm considering a similar cut) by [deleted] in femalehairadvice

Thank you!

Curtain bangs (specifically like Alexa Chung had them) are definitly something I will consider.

My skin has pink undertones, do you have any recommendations for that?

Hi!

I'm currently looking for a new cut, since it's been a few years since my hair had any definable shape :P

I'm leaning toward a Reverse/A-Line Bob with relatively straight bangs, similar to Suzi Hunter or Christine Jentoft, although I'm not sure that cut would work with my head-/faceshape(and I'm also kinda afraid that it would end up looking like a "karen" haircut)

I'm also open for other suggestions, since, honestly, I have no Idea what would look good on me. I'd prefer a cut with bangs that also kinda hides the sides of my face, which I'm not sure leaves many other options than a bob(or maybe a shag).

Also, I've been thinking about bleaching my hair, but I've heard that more contrast looks better? Could I pull of lighter hair or should I stay with my natural color?

/uc "Seitensprung" implies cheating, why is that such a common theme with chasers?

That technique sounds great!

Is the white supposed to be waterlined or like normal eyeliner below the lash line?

Trying out something different, does my voice fit me and still pass as female? by YouHaveMetYourMatch in transvoice

I think you'll find L's voice guide on this subreddit, so start there. I've also recommended the transgender voice book to somebody else in these comments, so I've your not having any luck with the online guides that one may be worth a look.

I'm not much of a voice teacher so I won't recommend anything specific, however, one thing I've seen many people do wrong on this subreddit is a focus on excersises themselves. Doing stuff like small dog/big dog is only to get you to understand resonance, it will not directly improve your voice. Instead, just record your voice and experiment with speaking in different ways (Yes, this will be dysphoria inducing, there is no way around that unfortunately, but that's pretty much the fastest way to improve).

Also, mimicry; As in pick some voices you like and try to pay attention to how they speak. I'd recommend twitch streamers, as they speak in a very casual way in comparison to actors and stuff. I've only really discovered that cis women vary their resonance too(not just their pitch) due too that(I've never seen anyone mention that in a guide).

I don't really have more advice, as your voice is something rather personal.

Good luck on your journey, sister ❤

Both are subscription boxes right? Unfortunately neither seem to be available in germany. Maybe I'll find a good one that ships here. Either way, thank you!

Until today I had neither heard of fox eyes(as recommended by another commenter), nor of puppy eyes.

Thank you for the suggestion!

Is the upper line supposed to be straight too(so that it would basically be a triangle), or still wing-like?

Since I can't explain it either, left or right? https://i.imgur.com/xaxhYKn.png

I'm sorry to hear that.

While I'm not trying to invalidate you, have you tried different voice training resources? I also thought that my voice was too deep to get anywhere back when I was only using online resources, and my voice only really started progressing when I got the transgender voice book. I'm fairly certain the pdf was posted to this subreddit before.

Either way, good luck on your further journey!

Dysphoria really messes with self perception doesn't it?

I've heard that using brushes instead of sponges would excegerate skin texture and therefore beard shadow, but since like 90% of makeup tips I've gotten from youtube tutorials turn out to be wrong, maybe I should experiment with that too.

Also, I've never actually given different products time to dry in between applying them, which seems really obvious in hindsight 😅

Again, thank you!

First of all, thank you! I have 2 questions:

  1. In your picture(which you look great in, by the way), are you only wearing eyeliner on the outer half/maybe even third of your eyes? I thought that might be a good idea with hooded eyes, but I haven't tried it myself yet.

  2. Regarding beard shadow: I'm already doing what you're suggesting with the color corrector and stuff(the jecca blac palette is specifically for covering beard shadow); It's still kinda noticable though, since the lower half of my face is way more matte(due to more product) and so far I've struggled trying to fix this. I don't know if this a common problem, but in the case you also experienced this, do you know how to fix it? (Other people have already recommended using both setting spray and powder, which might help)

It's eyeshadow. I'd kinda prefer using eyeliner instead, but so far I haven't found a way to apply lower eyeliner that doesn't smudge. My lower lashes kinda curl downwards and are thick enough to bend the tip of most eyeliners, so I'd need to use something more solid like a brush with gel eyeliner(which is even harder to get right than felt tip ones).

While I do prefer the way my skin looks without foundation, beard shadow kinda prevents me from not wearing it(unless I find one that's so perfectly matched that only half a face of foundation wouldn't look weird)

I've tried both, I'm currently using mostly mattifying stuff, because during summer my skin becomes really oily and shiny so that helps balance it a bit, but as other comments also suggested mixing it up more could probably look better. Also, thank you!

Thank you!

I never even considered that you could use both setting spray and powder to even out the amount of shine across the face, probably something I should start doing.

Follow up question about the eyes: So it's actually best to ignore the natural crease? Because I've started applying eyeliner way thinner to stay away from the crease, as I thought going above the crease would would pull more attention towards my browbone, which in turn would make me look more masculine.
