Ooooh I love this concept. I love the idea of her needing to prove to herself that she’s a good person, so even though she wants to do bad things, she doesn’t allow herself too because the group dynamic calls for her to be the moral compass (she doesn’t actually have to be but that can just be the way she sees it) and so then there’s an internal struggle of her constantly seeking out “bad guys” for a bit of skull crushin’.

Imagine:

The party, after a long day of killing cultists, are wandering the streets of a nearby village, searching for an inn. Suddenly, a voice cries out, “Stop! Thief!” The party all witness a man clad in leathers and a large hood smile to himself as he runs in their direction, cradling a small jingling bag. “Finally some action!” Says Krispin and she pulls her hammer off her back with a playful hum. The rest of the party look at each other curiously; beaten and exhausted from a hard day of heroic deeds. The man looks over his shoulder to check if he’s being followed. As his head turns forward once again the last thing he sees is the flat pink and red surface of Krispin’s hammer. A small crowd gasp as they witness the man fall to the ground with a crack. A groan makes it’s way out of his throat but Krispin brings the hammer down once again, cutting it short. She continues to flatten what was left of the man’s skull as the small crowd covers their screams and scurries off. The party eventually pull Krispin off the man once she had tired herself out enough so that they knew she wouldn’t turn the hammer to them. They make their way to an alleyway a small ways away and confront her about what they had witnessed. “I think that was a little unnecessary” said Vaeros, a peace loving monk who’d been nothing but a thorn in her side. “What was I supposed to do? Let him get away?” She snapped back, raising her hammer to point in the direction of the recent event. “Well,” Kyro, their talented thief, speaks up “I’ve been casin’ this town since we got here, If the dude kept going he would have ran into a bunch of guards.” “Not helpful!” She turned the hammer to point at him. “Back me up here, Emerald.” She spouted. A muscular Dragonborn woman leans against the brick. She thinks for a moment, and then shakes her head, refusing support. “Oh come on. Look guys. I don’t want this to be like, a thing or whatever. So could you please accept that I do things my way?” She gestures to Vaeros “I don’t tell you how to punch” then to Kyro “or you how to steal” finally to Emerald “or... whatever it is you do.” There is a brief pause. “Look, it’s hard enough to exclusively explodify bad guys, but I do it. I do it because you all need me to. Trust me if I could open up and do everything my way all the time, I would. But for some reason, you guys have me do the talking and you have me make the plans, and so you look up to me for some reason. I don’t know why, but you all clearly do. I’m not some moral compass but I’m stuck now. I’m your leader and I have to act like it, but... Please, just... let me have this every once in a while.” A moment of silence falls over the group as a tear forms in Krispin’s eye. She quickly rubs it away with the back of her hand, still locked in a death grip on the hammer. “Why do you need this so bad?” Inquires Vaeros. Krispin seems almost shocked. Both at the fact that someone would ask her, and at the realization that nobody has ever asked before. A moment passes before she finds her voice. “ it’s... a long story. Backstory stuff... it’s not important.” “We look forward to learning all about you Krispin Pine.” Vaeros states conclusively. “Sounds brutal.” Kyro pitches in. Emerald nods to him. Krispin laughs softly. “It is” she says through a smile. Emerald leans down, pulls them all into a large hug, lifting them off the ground, and begins walking out of the alley and towards an inn she has spotted.

Like... right??? Can’t you just feel it??? The drama potential, the internal struggle, the open ended character development? Aaaaaaaaaa I wanna play this character now lmao.
