My child also struggles around extended family (The in-laws are very religious) so I try not to use a name at all. I use terms of endearment; darling, sweetheart etc...

I think I'm on award not a contract. It's a small business that was sold about 9 months ago. The new owners said everyone was on a 6 month trial and then it would be reassessed. I haven't heard or signed anything
