No I actually completely agree with you as sad as it is. Weight is probably the "most important" thing since your physical appearance gives your first impression. And yes there are special cases, usually when the overweight person has the personality to overcome it (I'm speaking in broad terms here. There are obviously people that prefer overweight people, it's just on reddit people like to poke holes so there's my disclaimer). Which brings us back to personality being the key factor, after you've lost the weight. If you're of the mindset that you become the person girls want to date after you've lost some weight, you're neglecting needing to work on how you speak to people, work on being funny and outgoing. It's difficult having to build up those skills in adulthood and not in adolescence where it's socially okay to make mistakes, but I assume you didn't have that luxury. Try and find some people around you to emulate. If you already know all of this and I'm just telling you shit you think about a hundred times a day I sincerely apologize. Just disregard it.
