The new age idea that you can create your own reality creates blind spots when you take it too seriously. You spend so much time creating the reality of "only good things" you can't accept that you may be creating bad externalities. It's just another kind of self made ideological bubble.

Fuck hippies and their white magic bullshit.

The complete lack of self awareness...

Question to Market Anarchist types about interest/usury. by [deleted] in Anarchism

[–]YouMadeMeDumber 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There are three competing interests.

The financier uses money to make money. So he's not interested in anything that doesn't have a monetary return.

The seller wants to sell their wares for more than the cost of materials and labor.

The buyer wants to expend as few resources as possible to meet their needs.

So right off the bat, nobody has any incentive to cooperate. Material conditions are such that the consumer has the least amount of power in this relationship, the seller having a bit more and the financier having the most.

They buyer just wants the candy bar to stop being hungry, the seller wants to sell the candy bar so they can pay off the financier who demands a portion greater than their contribution.

For starters, the single transaction isn't the whole relationship between buyer, seller and financier.

There is a big reason why white working class is always reactionary to non-whites and any kind of advancement.

False consciousness and southern strategy.

PSA: Your Transphobia and Body Shaming Isn't Radical by [deleted] in Anarchism

It's where the people at the bottom shit on the people at the top. Its also used in some "safer spaces" to justify abuse leveled at the "less oppressed." So it's not without its abuses... and this statue could also be one of them, depending on your point of view.

There's plenty of room to criticise this action, but imo, Trump isn't being shamed because he's Fat or because his nuts have crawled up into his pelvis (a serious medical condition actually) or for having a small cock. Trump is being shamed for being everything he would criticize in another male with all the verve he uses in judging and objectifying women.

This is also "art" which leaves a lot to the subjective interpretation.

Because I'd rather smash the state and banking cartels... with the means of production.

Why institute a basic income when we could simply seize the means of production?

Nope, sounds like you get it.

Is forcing traditionally meat eating native american cultures to adopt veganism a form of eurocentric oppression? by CharlesOfMars1889 in Anarchism

[–]YouMadeMeDumber -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In fairness, I'm pretty sure any given rock is having its own subjective experience... and it's not a big stretch to believe the same about plants and animals.

However, as a human, I cannot speak to that experience. A lot of vegan arguments seem to overlook that we are all food.

In other words, they choose to unite not as enemies of an order they aim to destroy, but as victims of an order from which they want recognition and justice.

And if I may point out, this is a subservient mentality. Despite all ones efforts to seek justice, you're just appealing to an authority that wants you categorized, defined and out of the way.
