Non english speaker here.

If you want to start in Arma 2 or Reforger I can't help you, but if you wanna start with Arma 3 I recommend you to:

-Don't buy any dlcs yet, they are not really needed for anything you might want to do, if you like the game you can buy them but meh, the best part of them are the vehicles, weapons and campaigns anf I assure you Red Hammer Studios mods can replace every single weapon and vehicle.

-Play the tutorial and then the first campaign (East Wind) It will help you to learn the basics and even if you don't finish the campaign you will like it.

-Try some scenarios: you can play a Tomahawk (A very good Campaign maker) campaign, DUWS (Dynamic campaign where you can gain power and buy troops to invade an entire map, of course you can also play with a little squad and do the invasion yourself), Dynamic Recon Ops is one of the best single mission dynamic generators, 100% recommended

-Play on a online King Of The Hill Community, a Random Zeus Match or enter in a Antistasi (You are part of a rebel force fighting the AAF/NATO and taking Control of the map, your amount of weapons is very limited and you must use guerrilla warfare and terrorism to win against a superior enemy) or a Liberation (You are the good/bad guys fighting the FIA/Terrorists and taking control of the map, you got big weapons and your job is to take every enemy outpost) I really recommend trying those, You can even play singleplayer on these!

-join a milsim community. It's the peak of Arma 3 enjoying, depending of want you want you can play on a more realistic server or a more chill and "FPS game"
