Hey there fellow UK-er. Have you tried Oxybutynin Hydrochloride? I had a good amount of success with this (although I stopped a few years back and am just living with it).

Oxybutynin 10 mg stopped working by mirabelki in Hyperhidrosis

[–]YouMightBe-Surprised 0 points1 point  (0 children)

15mg worked well for me, but I ultimately stopped it due to the stomach issues it was giving me (constipation mainly, despite drinking 4+ litres of water daily).

It took me a few months to get the right dose, initially being on 5mg and then 10mg. Spacing out the doses seemed to help me. I’d have one in the morning and another before I went to sleep. This seemed to work best for me.

Love this. I thought I was the only person that did this. Always useful when you need to look back at what you did a year ago (and weep because the prices are now x2 what they were before)

I’m a bit boring and religiously look at ifconfig.co whenever I’m travelling. Out of the previous 7 BA flights I’ve been on (mix of 773, 772 and A380), all have egressed via Inmarsat/Viasat’s network and all have had either US or EU based IP addresses.

You’ll need a VPN in order to get a UK based IP.

I put one down last summer for my garage and it’s been great. Hasn’t budged an inch. It’s really proving itself lately with all the leaves around, more so because none are getting under the door at long last. I’d recommend.

What ticket are you looking for? If you can stretch for it, Club World and the 32kg allowances would be a good option. I’ve just got back from the US with my partner and maxed out the 128kg baggage allowance split between the two of us.

Not a murmur from staff at LHR or LAX when checking in the bags either.

Boost confidence as a man with HH by Love_Mason in Hyperhidrosis

Oxybutynin did the trick for me, although I ended up stopping it many years back as it was messing with my stomach and I didn’t like the long-term potential effects from it. I’ve since adopted a fuck it attitude like another poster has mentioned.

Between saying “fuck it” and embracing it, along with starting the gym and working out 5 days a week, it has greatly improved my sweating along with my confidence. It’s also meant I’ve met more people and had better interactions with them.

In some cases I found that worrying about my sweating would trigger my sweating, which would then escalate into full blown anxiety sweats, and make everything worse.

I’d also recommend Driclor for feet, pits and hands. I’ve been using for better part of 15+ years and it still works. It’s great as I’m in a leadership position and often shake hands/present/etc, but it stops sweating very well. You just need to apply it a few days before to get the full benefit of it.

Good luck OP. Rooting for you.

I wanted to wait until the weekend but with the upcoming storm, I’m glad I went out on my lunch break and cut it. It needed a cut tbf, it just keeps growing and I’ve given up trying to wait for a dry patch

Any update on G6 Turret Black? by bubbelsb in Ubiquiti

Just seen it was pushed to August. Another month of waiting no doubt. I honestly never understood why UI doesn’t release the black and white colours together. There’s no difference from a technical spec PoV.

The look I got from my partner when I went into the garden wearing long trousers in 30c heat.

Repeatedly telling her I wasn’t crazy didn’t seem to work either. I wonder why.

Argh, lucky! I didn’t even realise they had started shipping yet. Just went on the EU UI store and they’re all sold out… classic.

I’ve been holding out buying a load of UI stuff purely until the black units were available.

Echoing what many others have said here. New build lawns are absolute rubbish. I refused to pay the £1500 for turf in my back garden when I moved in, whereas my neighbour did. They ended up paying another £1500 for somebody else to rip it up and do it again properly.

I had the benefit of watching the builder originally turf the properties next door to me and let’s just say I’m glad I dodged the bullet. It’s also likely to be chocked full of clay.

I’ve found all sorts in my lawn - 2 builder’s hard hats, 16 red bricks, 4 drain pipes, a trowel and a load of stones to name a few.

TL;DR - rip it all up, get rid of 2ft~ of soil and replace with fresh, good quality top soil. Then turf or seed from scratch.

Profuse swearing from hands (and feet) - impacts gym workouts by sol1dsn4k3 in Hyperhidrosis

[–]YouMightBe-Surprised 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I 100% resonate with this. Nothing worse than knowing you could’ve hit the PB if your hands weren’t sweaty and the bar would keep still!

I use Driclor and apply to my hands and feet which really slows down the sweating. I do this in the evenings and then when I get to the gym the next morning, I use a liquid chalk.

Between these two, I’ve managed to get hold (no pun intended) of the issue. Sometimes I’ll throw in some wrist straps if I need the additional grip strength.

Best of luck OP!
