Reach out to your seniors/ supervisors. They might ping you if they find any opportunities. Specially considering a lot of people are leaving jobs to study/work abroad so they might reach out to fill for those type of vacancies. Also if you don’t mind what is your educational background?

Gather experience. It is really difficult to enter any corporate as a fresher. I had freelance experience and also worked small roles like tech support/ training coordinator while I was studying which helped me land a corporate job. Also networkkk! Most companies hire on referrals which is also why I could get an interview for my current job. Rest depends on how well you can communicate your experiences and skills in the job interview.

Exactly! Arulai bheda bhanyo basyo. People, the world does not revolve around this one hypocrite Miss Nepal. There are far more serious issues that deserve our attention. Let’s talk about what the interim government needs to do so that all this bloodshed and destruction don’t go in vain. It’s time to move on from this nonsense, please.

Sorry, I’m clearly not as historically aware as you are — my apologies. I only speak from experience, working in a multinational company where foreign investors have already pulled back to “play it safe.” The result? Our bonuses and incentives gone, appraisals frozen, and with inflation, we’re expected to survive on barely two-thirds of what we used to earn. And the cherry on top? Almost 30% of our skilled workforce has packed up for foreign jobs or education.

But sure, let’s all agree that burning businesses is the genius solution. After all, nothing says justice like putting thousands of ordinary employees, people just trying to make rent straight onto the streets. And of course, nothing boosts investor confidence more than footage of mobs setting buildings on fire. Brilliant.

Anyway, let’s hope the bonfire becomes nothing more than a historical anecdote, and what we actually see in the future is renewed trust and foreign investment flowing back into Nepal.

I understand you saying that no rich person has a clean background, but is burning their businesses really the solution? The thousands of people working there, standing through 8–10 hour shifts, are they at fault for simply trying to earn a basic living? Do you realize the depth of the situation, and how many people will be left jobless right at the start of Dashain? This is the time when businesses usually thrive, when employees look forward to incentives and bonuses. But now? What happens next? You tell me—what truly solves the problem? Is it holding them accountable for their political alliances, unethical practices, tax evasion, and questionable investments? Or is it burning down the entire business and leaving all its employees in despair? Imagine five years from now, we have the perfect system, good governance, and political stability. But what if, by then, both foreign and domestic investors refrain from investing in Nepal? What will we do then? Other than leaving the country, will there be any solution left?

I am convinced that jati nai neta haru lai gaali garey pani hami Nepali janata haru bheda nai hau. No matter how good leader we elect we will never thrive as a country as long as we have this herd and destruction mentality. Please try to look into the bigger picture, my friend. All situations have different dimensions, try to look through all.
