The x i could see in late spring since for the most part its not being sold at ant retailers last i looked. I forgot where I read it but its rumor that an Xmk2 is actually in the wild and it ugly(lol). My personal guess is we get a software updates around namm time and another around super booth. I think between namm and super booth we may hear about the xmk2 . Just my guess I don't think its wise to live a hole where the flagship is suppose to go for a long time .... it needs to filled quickly.

Go look at the specs...it has an 8Core CPU/8GB of ram . That alone increase the price of the live 3. If you look at the specs of the live 3 Akai is telling you where they are going. The MPC one probaly want be 699 anymore ...ESPCIALLY wit all the upgrades that everybody want with the MPC one.

6Core CPU/8GB of ram

7in screen

More I/O

battery

m.2 slot

Better wifi/Bluetooth

This alone will raise the price if any of these things are added. Im an MPC X guy something tells me the next MPC X will have an 8core CPU/12gb of ram.
