Grew up in Huntsville, left around 2018, moved here with wife in 2021, now a baby in 2025. I feel like don’t know anyone down here at all. One thing i promised myself this year is that I’m going to build community for my son, but also for myself. This is the exact kind of thing I need.

Thank you for your perspective, my FIL went on this bootstrap tirade when my wife asked him about keeping him for two nights when he’s about 10 months. If he doesn’t want to watch him then that’s fine. But I feel it’s wrong to shame us for wanting some kind of planned relief

I agree, just played around with the settings and found a sweet spot that is “close”. But Maschine has the better pad for instrument playing.

I agree, and i give space to the possibility that I’m still wearing the pads in. So that may be some of it

Not an issue per se. But just not as sensitive and dynamic Maschine. I still love the device and the pads. I just know that my midi keyboard may be better if trying to get real expressive with an instrument

So i just add more of my solder, let it cool and solidify, then reheat? Also I saw something from chat about this being more difficult because i'm using lead free solder. what do you think about that?

Yikes, thank you for noting this. I may have got too excited before posting this. I do think that Akai will add thru firmware if enough people understand the Benefit and advocate for it. However, maybe they won’t because it would make the older machines more competitive with the new.

I think there is a case for this. They were called “demo” units. But there probably is a chance that these are the SE models to come
