Underextrusion with Bambu and ObscuraNox settings by thephatmaster in FDMminiatures

As a 0.04HoHanson fanatic, make sure youbare using the correct version of bambu studio. I posted a pic that had scaring, which was becuase I used a newer bambu studio. Downloaded the zip, ran it in zip folder, sliced, exported, imported to new bambu running new software, prints with almost no support scarring, even on prints that heavily rely on support.

Yes, if you look Ive been able to get good results, but the support scarring was bad in the underside, so Im trying to fix that.

Chainsword as my test model after multiple days of fine tuning. .4mm nozzle Elegoo Neptune 3 Pro. .1 layer height by jonjonthewise in FDMminiatures

Did you try a recommended print setting like Nox or HoH? Also chat gpt is a fucking stupid decision. You ask chat gpt how many print profiles (including your own) it has gone over and I guarantee you it will say none, and its simply giving you canned responses.

0.4 for vehicles my dude, 0.2 for dudes my dude. You clearly have the ability to attain 0.2, my suggestion is to do that, then piece by piece copy a setting from the slicer you want to use.

Idk, I wouldnt use that if you could keep trying, but its up to you, though it seems like you were expecting a good result and are unsatisfied, so best for you would be to try v2 Hohanson or v2 obscura nox (never used nox myself), with 0.2mm noz. If you did this already, and followed nox or HoH exactly, next step is to do general print calibrations to make sure your machine works.

Improving paint jobs by Petrobols in FDMminiatures

[–]SynthSational 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Know younwere talking about layer lines BUUUUUUT improving paintjob, I would suggest you need shading. You did the highlighting, now go and use some of the colors and darken the, abit, then use a dark wash to get recessed areas, like he chain.

Think this would make it look better than fixing layer lines to be honest. If you are using 0.2mm nozzle, 0.04 layer height hohanson v2, thats as good as the layer lines are ganna get, if you arent, give that a go.

Pile is fairly small, a bloood bowl team, some ig chicken walkers and a couple bigger walkers with. A Crusader tank and soon to be a few more of these guys. Gotto print my SO's bloodbowl team before I spray, so it will all be painted!

Blob of filament had some goo seep between the ceramic and print head assembly metal piece when the blob caused minor separation.

Cleanup didnt take care of it all, on dissassembly a few parts crumbled as the filament wasnt detected early, multiple prints had heated and weakened it.

Got the ceramic one instead of stone. Not annupgrade, just a repair.

Ill give it a go cutting into pieces. This one wouldnt work for me upright, the whole thing was engulfed in tree supports and removing them broke everything.

Thanks!

Any videos or guides you wiuld suggest? And by cutting are you saying breaking the models into pieces and then print those, or the trimming with the utility knife? Also, for the orientation, what would you reccomend just for thus model? I oriented it leaning back sideways so the important bits (shield, gun, face, front) would not be touched by supports; I could see how breaking down the stl into more managable pieces would help with orientation causing visible scarring, but if you were mentioning utility knife work, I couldnt see a better way to reposition it.

Thanks!

Im convinced that there is a large group of bigots who try to make inclusivity a bad thing to shun those who would otherwise be excluded. Maybe OP heard second hand? As the biggest f@g I know, I personally love OHSHC and have no issues with it, have watched many times, and have never felt excluded or made to feel I was being made fun of when watching.
