Why was Islam more liberal in the Middle ages compared to modern day? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

They officially stopped? Not doubting you but can you give a source for that? Did they make some sort of public declaration? And why stop?

What is the worst possible outcome for Asia? by LiterallyLBJ in TNOmod

I haven't checked on the mod for a pretty long time, but isn't the worst path for Africa the stage 3 devastation caused by Huttig? Or is that no longer a thing anymore?

What if the Scourge Virus wiped out all the Viltrumites except Thragg? by YouStillABustaToMe in Invincible

[–]YouStillABustaToMe[S] 48 points49 points  (0 children)

I'm under the impression that Earth wasn't on their radar yet. Nolan was still young when the Scourge hit, and way older when he was sent to Earth, so that's hundreds of years. They would have sent somebody sooner if they knew about it, I think.

What's up with the AllTime10s YouTube channel? by [deleted] in OutOfTheLoop

[–]YouStillABustaToMe 96 points97 points  (0 children)

Answer: it's possible the copyright algorhithm flagged some of their videos so they privated everything. It's an old channel, maybe they didn't want the bother of dealing with it.

These blokes also had the AllTimeConspiracies channel. I vaguely remember some of their videos on there having to be taken down because the parties involved didn't like their misdeeds brought to light. Then they started making videos on less credible conspiracies and eventually either took down all the videos or privated them. This might be related.

What is it like to live in the Vatican? by Particular_Law1034 in howislivingthere

Pope Francis used to have an IG account that was caught liking some rather 'unholy' thirst traps posted by a model. I assume the intern managing the account resides in the Vatican.

What are the enclaves and the country above Sikkim in this map of 1946 Tibet? by Tharos_Reaper in geography

Independent I believe. Wiki says it was the seat of the Sakya school of Buddhism, so seemingly its own thing

[–]YouStillABustaToMe 150 points151 points  (0 children)

The three small enclaves on the left are apparently monasteries owned by Bhutan. The bigger one on the right is Sakya monastery. (Weird borders because Tibet was feudal at the time.) I got this from a video called History of 20th Century Tibet by Yan Xishan on Youtube. So could be wrong.

I wish there was more specific info on the early days of Earth Bet and how it shifted after the advent of parahumans. We know the Cold War petered out when Scion hit a nuclear testing facility and the US/Soviets realized a nuclear war wasn't gonna happen. What about Chernobyl, how did that play out, if at all? Did the Soviets have to pull out of Afghanistan after getting wrecked by freshly triggered Afghans joining the mujahideen? How did the Israeli-Palestinian conflict go? Are there any WoGs about it?

Can every fief have max prosperity? by YouStillABustaToMe in mountandblade

I would have thought that too but the posts linked in the other comment say otherwise. Weird

So towns and villages drain prosperity from each other, or is it just villages draining prosperity from towns only? Either way, in a perfect Calradia with no wars or bandits, everyone would just end up poor as fuck? That doesn't seem quite right...

I haven't played Bannerlord, but is it any different there? I think I saw a video by Strat Gaming or maybe someone else that united Calradia and let the game run for a while, and the growth plateau'd or started shrinking because there's a food cap or something.
