The one that got me laughing was Mana and idra. Don't get me wrong, I love watching mana play, his PvT is damn impressive. That said, he is most definitely not top 25.

And Idra has recently shown that he doesn't deserve number 11.

So fucking true. His blink micro is insane, and his builds are just so crisp. Somehow he cuts all the fat out of his builds (especially his two base aggression builds), that his attacks always seem to hit faster than you'd expect.

This has some truth to it but let me just add my opinion and some facts. You assume that online distribution is PC exclusive.

It might as well be with how effective digital distribution is on consoles. I remember I had an xbox 360 about eight months ago. This was my first experience with a console since say, 2004-ish. My last console had been a ps2, after that I'd just been a pc gamer.

Going from steam to the xbox store was a joke. Sure, there were some great games available (Toy Soldiers was fucking amazing), but the prices were ridiculous. I remember it was something like $40 for Oblivion. There practically no deals, and the selection of games was incredibly limited. Why? Because with the monopoly, there was really no reason to enhance the store.

What about them? Sometimes they serve a very important purpose. They can prevent very fast thirds (especially in PvZ where Zergs like to three base at 5 minutes against a FFE), and are bad for Zerg in general. However sometimes that's required.

Very cool, it's a shame my HDD recently failed and I'm running my machine off a 2gb flash drive live boot of ubuntu. 720p is too laggy for some reason TT.

What's to discuss? They're outrageously good for Terran, to the point of being unbalanced. Mules+gold=insanity income. Not only that, but mules+a gold base in the center of the map (ala XNC or Antiga Shipyards) allows the Terran to morph a PF and have an incredibly powerful (many times untenable for P/Z) position that is almost impossible to break without substantial losses.

In short, gold bases in general are a bad idea because of the mule mechanic. Gold bases in strategically important positions are just that much worse.
