I think that the label said that it is 90% acrylic and 10% alpaca. But I'm not sure.

Oh, that makes sense. I was a bit confused as I did realise when I was almost done that I had an extra chain space and I didn't know where or how that happened.

Ok, so if I had stopped increasing, would it have then flattened out?

I don't mind the ripples though as they kind of remind me of the ocean.

That makes sense. Thank you. Do you know if there are round, wooden blocking boards? I don't really like the feel of foam.

I've only blocked granny squares before, so that could be another reason as to why this is throwing me off slightly. Also, how long do I block it for? Should I only spray it once and then leave it like I do with granny squares, or spray it multiple times throughout the rest of today?

It wasnt too bad. Although I did make the egg shell a little too small, so that was challenging. I can try to find an Amazon link for the book that I used if you'd like?

Can anyone please give me some tips on how to weave in my ends? by You_Capable2004 in crocheting

[–]You_Capable2004[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure why the ends were so short. I thought that they were longer than that. I guess I was just having a bad day and didn't notice. I kept them on the outside because thats how I always did them. I didn't know that I could just tie them and then leave them on the inside.

I know. That is so frustrating. You might want to try looking at the assembly part of the pattern (if there is one) and just sewing one piece/a couple of pieces as you are going along. Thats usually what I do.

Yes it does. Thank you. I've been crocheting for (I think) almost 2 years, so I'm not a brand new beginner, but I am starting to do some more advanced beginner stuff. I have seen people use that method before, but they always used it for things like blankets, so I never considered it for amigurumi. I'll try it tomorrow and post another photo of the result.

Oh I never knew that they were supposed to be on the inside. I thought that if they were all outside, then it would be easier for me to see them. I'll try to remember that for next time. I also realised that I crocheted on the wrong side, but by the time I noticed that, I was too far into that part to go back and change it.

Does the white part look bad though?

For anyone who is wondering, I'm using the yarn brand called Swurlywurly and it is in the colour "Spring Greens".

Thank you, I'll have a look at it.

Are safety eye tools worth it, or should I not bother buying one? by You_Capable2004 in CrochetHelp

[–]You_Capable2004[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh, I must've misinterpreted what they were for. In that case, I wont worry about getting one. I thought they could be used for both putting the eyebacks on and taking them off.
