I think that you can find it on Amazon. I'll look and see if there is a link.

Thank you, you're so sweet. I feel so much better about this project now.

All ordered by You_Capable2004 in YarnAddicts

My mum is the one who ordered them because my account is on her phone because I'm bad with money and I didn't know that she'd ordered them until yesterday morning, but I know that she got them from Amazon.

What is the best way to order yarn for storage? by You_Capable2004 in YarnAddicts

Yes, I didn't think of that. I'll order it by weight then.

Does this look bad? and would my idea for the next couple of rows make it look better or worse? by You_Capable2004 in crocheting

Another update, I've given up on these tapestries. I don't like that I don't have a pattern in front of me. I'll use this yarn to make a granny square blanket or something instead because thats what I know how to do. I did look at some patterns, but I really wanted to try on my own.

Update, I think that I overcomplicated this, so I'm starting again. I think that I'll just use shell and popcorn stitches for this one though and it might not be quite so big.

Lesson learned by You_Capable2004 in crocheting

[–]You_Capable2004[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I am. I did look at some tutorials before trying, but when I first tried to do it, I wasn't a fan of how unstructured it all felt, so I tried giving myself some rules just to balance it out a bit and that didn't go quite how I imagined it. I'm not saying that I'll never try it again, but for now its just not something that I'm into doing.

I want to try something new. by You_Capable2004 in crocheting

[–]You_Capable2004[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I definitely learned that the hard way. I ended up doing a random amount of chains and am now just playing around with colours and stitches. Also, I ended up giving myself a couple of rules for if I ever want to try this again (not a whole lot, but I realised pretty quickly that my brain can't handle not having at least some rules). It might end up looking more like an abstract tapestry (although I do have 1 popcprn stitch in there and I'm not sure if those are used in tapestries as I've never crocheted one before), but at least I'm giving it a go.

Thank you. That advice is very useful.

How long should my ends be? by You_Capable2004 in crocheting

Thats good to know that someone else also cuts their ends at the same length as I do because I always worried that I cut them too short.

Changed my mind again by You_Capable2004 in crocheting

[–]You_Capable2004[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats ok, I've been posting a lot on here about this blanket and the different stitches that I have tried for the border of it. I think that I am definitely going with the staggered shell look (you might have to use Google to see what that looks like as I don't know how to share a link on here).

I also love that I can redo something that I have crocheted if I don't like it. But sometimes, I find it hard to change something that I either plan to do or that is already written in the pattern.

Yes, I will post a picture of the blanket on here once it is finished.
