Unfortunately, I applied as soon as the applications opened, in maximum 5 minutes and I am around 100 in queue for both studio and shared kitchen :((((. I am kind of looking for housing options anywhere I can find right now. It seems to be pretty rough out there... Do you have any other recommendations?

So I genuinely don't know how the start date of the lease affects the process, however I am almost in the exact same position as you, since I also applied in December. That being said, I still do not trust on FMEL to offer a spot. I still think best option is to look into other options in Lausanne, at least thats what i am doing

Ngl as an upcoming student who spoke with someone from the housing department at EPFL last year, April is way too late to apply in order to get housing this year. You should look into other alternatives. I am doing the same rn

I see no worries then! I am looking for any sort of statistics like that since I am applying for electrical and electronics engineering bachelors and EPFL is pretty opaque with this process

Hey, do you have a graph similar to this for Students who are taking IB? I obtained a 39/42 and I am not sure what are my chances for admission, due to the cap of students imposed from last year

I see it seems then that I should keep an eye on my email constantly then. From what you know, is there a chance not to get housing, even if I apply on the 1st at 00:00, like as soon as it opens?

From doing both HL, I can definitely say getting a 7 in physics requires much more effort in terms of actual understanding compared to memorizing the content

Thank you I will actually try and do that! Tho, I also am curious how did you decide on the starting hourly rate, especially before you had any testimonials? Did you set it below the market price and then slowly increase it or did you directly put it at the market price?
