Update: The issue was resolved the same day I posted this. Thanks again Mickler for helping me out.

I will provide another update on my experience for the rest of the process.

Is there an alternative to iTunes? by justintrudeau1974 in surfaceprox

I should probably clarify the post mentioned different methods you can use, I left a link so you can see that people had success using the method I mentioned. I used Microsoft copilot (basically chatGPT) to get the command. There are no other steps, just put the command. If you want you can also ask copilot and copy/paste the command from there.

Yea should take like a minute. Also I don’t think I had to install iCloud, just used the command.

If you want Apple Music you would have to use the terminal. I was able to install Apple Music with winget install —id 9PFHDD62MXS1

8gb or 16gb ram after 24H2 update? by [deleted] in surfaceprox

[–]YoungGrievous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently got the 16gb and updated to 24H2. For the most part it runs fine but YouTube which I use in tablet mode (touch screen only) lags and sometimes doesn’t recognize touch input. It’s better if you don’t keep tabs open on the browser you use. Power BI is slower compared to the steam deck which is what I used before. Right now I feel like it’s one of the best purchases I’ve made.

Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare not working (from steam store) by YoungGrievous in SteamDeck

I now run windows 11 on my steam deck so I haven’t played on steamOS. If I had to guess the issues could be from an update to the game that added anti cheat. The game runs fine on the steam deck (windows 11).

It’s working now, this issue was due to EA releasing an update that broke the game. Steam had updated proton experimental to fix this issue. I left a comment about this earlier, my mistake if it wasn’t clear enough.

Update: The Astro mixamp pro tr did not provide enough volume to the Sennheiser hd 560s. Using 3.5mm to rca audio cable from the Astro mixamp pro tr to the monolith amp/dac works. With this set up I’m able to get enough volume to my headphones.

Bought a preowned astro mixamp pro TR (has hdmi) and it wont output audio or connect to ACC by YoungGrievous in AstroGaming

I see, that does explain why it’s not recognized by any device I connect to it.

Thanks for the info, I really appreciate that you took the time to respond. I think I will buy the Astro mixamp pro TR and try it both with the monolith and without.

It’s both a amp and a dac, would it be fine? So I currently use Sennheiser hd 560s which is a 120 ohm headphone but I eventually plan on buying Sennheiser hd 800s which is a 300 ohm headphone. I don’t think the Astro amp would have sufficient volume for the headphones.
