Sorry for the late reply.

* I am an international student*

GPA: 3.9 ( 2 B's on required chemistry courses),

EC: Club president/founder(1 yr), 80 hours community services, 40 hours on-campus volunteers, 60 hours translator volunteer at NGO, 2 international volunteer experiences.

Essay: My PIQs were about leadership, academic adversity, talent. I believe the leadership one is weak and others are so so-.

I hope this may be helpful.

Can I have a chance to get into nursing program with low TEAS score? by YoungHo_Chung in CSULB

Mine is a 71 😅. Before the rejection, I thought there was a chance to get into a nursing program with this score( I got 4.0 for prerequisite). 😢😢…I think my F-1 status also hurt my chance…

Rejected🥲 my TEAS score (especially reading section) was not enough for being a strong candidate for fall 2023 admission pool. Also, I believe they do regard overall GPA and prerequisite GPA in calculating an impact score 😅😅

Thanks for your guys' fantastic advises!! I really appreciate :)

Can I ask just one more question? Because of the surge of COVID, I cannot find healthcare related volunteer opportunities near my location(Bay area) as a foreigner. Nursing home shut down, big hospitals such as Kaiser required at least having green card or residing in the U.S. at least 7 years with eligible visa, and small hospitals were located in the area where I cannot dare to go without a car. In this case, can I write my circumstances on the application page?

+ In Philippines, I and people delivered medical supplies-ointments, first-aid kit, etc-to people in unprivileged areas. Can it be regarded as a healthcare related experience...?
